Product description

Review

'A brilliant piece of almost forensic revisionist history.' --Denis Judd, author of Empire: The British Imperial Experience from 1765 to the Present

'Nick Lloyd's study of the massacre at Jallianwala Bagh is a stirring tale well told.' --Kaushik Roy, author of The Oxford Companion to Modern Warfare in India

... an excellent work of painstaking research... the chaos in which this all happened has never been better described than in Lloyd s book. --Jad Adams, BBC History Magazine

'...a careful, well researched and much needed re-evaluation of a critical event which is less concerned with placing blame than with understanding.' --Contemporary Review

'Superb' --Andrew Roberts, Daily Mail
