This book was a naughty little read very Hot n Steamy in places.
I loved it but I found it hard to connect sometimes to the characters. Maybe it's because I wanted to slap them I'm not sure.
I did like Greer she was just a child at the beginning of the book but then she sometimes seemed to be to childlike during her adult years, especially for the things she was doing. Her naivety was a bit unbelievable at times.

The President was a very Dominant character but I couldn't understand his actions at times. He's a very self centred Man who wants to control everyone and he treats certain people like his possessions.
He was very domineering which suited him but also made him an arrogant ass.

The whole story was intense i never quite knew where it was going it was enjoyable and kept my attention throughout.
I'm looking forward to reading the next part.

Reviewed on behalf of A Book Lovers Emporium.

When I first started this book I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did, this book grows on you; this book is like reading an epic production of a movie. Extremely well written, I think the story line is fantastic, strong, and very well developed.
This is the story of three people - Greer Galloway, President Maxen Colchester and Vice President Embry Moore, their lives, loves, relationships and the dark and dangerous secrets that they all hold deep inside. At first you think this book may be just another love story - but let me tell you it is so much more than that. This is about passion, lust, deep soul binding love, filth, erotica, secrets and desires and politics all rolled into one delicious story.
When Greer catches the eye of the future president the attraction is undeniable, but he has a job he is married to, she is underage and there is a ten year age gap that could present problems for them both. She is warned away from the future leader and that leads to five years of pining for a man she cannot have. In the meantime Greer also meets Embry and feels things for him that she thought she never could because those feeling belong to another man.
Imagine the problems this starts to cause - wanted by two men, both powerful in their own way, one of them is weak, one of them is strong, dominant and all man. Which one does she choose, or can she have both?
I didn't like Greer, she wasn't the strong independent woman I wanted her to be, I tried but I really didn't gel with her character at all, but the men - I loved them both in totally different ways.

Let me just get this out of the way before I wax lyrical and you all yawn. I. Just. Loved. This. Book. Loved. Loved. Loved. Loved. Loved.

I need the blue dress. I need it more than my next glass of Sauvignon Blanc and believe me that is a big need. Isn't it pretty?

Ok focus Karen, tell people about the book.

Bite me. Yes, bite me. I got it at the bites. I love the stories of the Knights of the round table. Lancelot, yep I'd go there. Gawain, Percival, Galahad - nodding, like a nodding dog. Hate hate hate Morganna aka Morgan Leffey. But I did like Merlin, then. Not sure I like this Merlin.

Putting all of that aside, this book is brilliant. I jest at the round table stuff. The theme is there but you really don't need to be a medieval scholar to appreciate it. I actually think I feel Daphne Du Maurier and Virginia Woolf because - Maxim and Galloway (Dalloway) - Sierra you must tell me if I'm right.

This book is spellbinding. It is perfect. It is every thing that flicks my buttons.

I just love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love it.

Shhhhhhh I didn't know Sierra would do a follow up, but it makes me glad - my Prince, little Prince, I need you.

I don't normally read incomplete trilogies as I find it too exasperating to keep on top of the plot. well I gave in on this one and read it as I love the writing of Sierra Simone.

Exceptional writing as usual but there were a few things plot wise that I thought plausible and that ending? It was stupid, she was stupid, and for someone who was so prominent in the political arena and the warning that was issued by Ash - well she should have known better. Quite a predictable ending but so looking forward to what comes next .

What can I even say about this book? I just didn't get any of it!

SPOILERS ALL THE WAY THROUGH

This book definitely did not reach any of my very high expectations. I am just very sad because this could have been a really great story.

I expected Greer to be a strong independent woman who was helplessly in love with her man who also happened to be the president. What I got was Greer a woman who acted like the sixteen year old she was in the beginning of the book all the way through. I got Greer a push over. I don't mind a submissive heroine at all. I just don't like a weak heroine.

Ash AKA Mr. President. What a Jerk! Who did he think he was??? The president? LOL see what I did there! Anyway I was not feeling him at all. Ash was icky. I don't know how to explain it but he just made me feel icky and I felt like he was somehow manipulative. The way he treated Greer and Emery was not my cup of tea. He had sex with his half sister!! Yes he didn't know at the time but why the hell did that need to be in the story at all? It didn't add anything for me.Emery.
*Sigh* Emery, Emery, Emery. What in the hell happened. You are the freaking Vice President. Act like a man! speak up say what you want! Take what you want!!

Communication was lost throughout this whole book. No one was saying what they were actually feeling this would have been so much better if they just talked to each other!

I love a ménage story but this just didn't hit the spot for me. I still love this author and I will try her future books but I just did not enjoy this one, Unfortunately!

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book
