This book follows on from Sunrise Alley and is just as readable and engaging. However, I suggest that you read Alpha as a sequel. Information about Artificial Intelligence and its possible evolution into human like self-determination is beautifully explained in Sunrise Alley and adds depth to the reader's understanding of this novel. I really enjoyed this novel and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

No problem with recomending this as a follow on as Asaro maintains her usual interesting style and intreaging thought on the future.

I have read a good proportion of Catherine's novels, espacially the Skolian saga and found all a good read.
