Wendy (Rosanna Arquette) is an incurable romantic trapped in the body of a bored and timid housewife. Her marriage is failing and her days are spent working in a dead-end job. She yearns for the adventure and sensuality found within the pages of her romance novels but her husband Ronnie (Bruce Spence) just doesn't fit the bill. His only dream is to make a success of his sweets business and open a shop of his very own. Enter the mysterious Jake (Hugo Weaving) - handsome, passionate, the very man dreams are made of. enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
It could be considered a comical romantical film
However it was quite watchable but would not recommend it as a
definite one to watch
The story was a bit cheap but entertaining enough, and the music was superb.
VHS era was gone and I threw away all of VHS products long time ago.
When I saw DVD version of this film, I was very glad to buy it and watch the show again.
But in fact it was very disappointing.
It wasn't clear vision at all.
OK. I give up to watch full story this time and try to purchase a better one some day , even though it might be more expensive.
Most helpful customer reviews on Amazon.com
The movie is Almost completely out of focus throughout. Your typical extended play VHS has better picture quality.
It's Almost completely implausible that a man would leave Rosanna Arquette without telling her where he's going or what he's doing for whatever time it takes to rebuild and refurbish a broken down derelict of a restaurant.
The Bad: The quality of the DVD was terrible. Grainy and washed out picture and, as mentioned before, the "Screening Copy" warning coming up constantly in the first part of the film.
