This is the second book in this series. This book starts off with flashbacks to Colin’s past, and gives a better understanding as to his mood swings. Colin and Natalie are trying to move forward with their relationship, but there are twists throughout. Will Colin be able to move on? Will Natalie be able to protect Colin? You need to read this series for yourself. Supporting characters are there throughout with their witty banter and friendship.
Am looking forward to reading the third book in this series! The author has done a good job in the flow on this storyline, which reels in the reader from the beginning.
Natalie and Colin have now got together and hooked up. The thing is, while Natalie is fitting quite comfortably into the groove of being a 'couple' she has to help Colin fight his demons from the past.
This is a quick read, some of it is a bit far fetched, but its a quircky far fetched which seems to be accepted through some laughter, as some of it does bring a smile to your face. Sometimes I wanted to clout Colin and give him a wake up call, but all in all this 2nd book in the series has left it a happy ending. There isn't a cliff hanger.....but who knows if there will be a book 3!
I had to quickly go and read book 1 since I hadn't and realized that starting with book 2 just wouldn't make any sense :) Of course I was sucked in and had to find out what was going to happen with Colin and Natalie. There were some times that I wanted to just reach in and smack Colin around because he was really acting like a douche and wasn't giving Natalie any idea what his problem was.
Ali...man I love that girl!! I hope that in future books in this series we get to hear some of her stories (I am sure she has quite a few!) because she is awesome!
Ali and Natalie get into "a situation" and end up making a new friend who really comes in handy for Natalie at some point. I laughed my way through that plot line because I was like "who does stuff like that??" As out of the blue as it was, it was funny... and it put some important characters into play with the story.
There are no cliffhangers, we do get a HEA (well, at least a happily ever for now, because we don't know where the next chapter in their story will take us), and all of the characters that you will fall in love with in the first book are back!
This is a quick read...once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes action, adventure and romance.
This was a little crazy but crazy in a good way if that makes sense.
This had a little dark twist to it then the 1st book but i loved it just the same.
In this book you get a good glimpse into Colin's past with his demons i guess you could say. I felt bad for the things he went through. He opens up to Natalie in doing so pretty much makes her more secure in their relationship.
Then something else happens and it makes her have doubts.
This has alot of humor in it as well. a little mix of different things to draw you in and get you stuck. Its funny, Sexy as hell, a little creepy and add in the Russian Mob and its hell of an entertaining story!
Also a must read im telling you stop what you are reading and give these books a try!!!
I loved this book, another home-run in my book. I really want friends like Natalie, Ali, Jena and Svetlana. The living room scene was by far my favorite from the book. The decor was very interesting, yeah I will go with interesting. Want to know what I am talking about buy the book. I cannot wait to read about the rest of shenanigans of these friends. Keep the good times coming.
The same addictive writing as the first book, you will gobble Almost Broken Up in one sitting. You will curse your eyes for not being able to read quicker.
Just when I thought Natalie has done it all, she goes and gets herself dragged into more crazy cahoots. This girl can get herself into some interesting and unbelievable pediments! I thought only insane situations happened to me and my best girlfriend, but it's safe to say Natalie and Ali have the same issue. It's like the crazy just follows them around and it makes for one hell of a hilarious read.
This book definitely takes on a more darkish tone. I found myself terrified for Natalie multiple times and seriously felt my heart stop due to the constant drama. Colin's story alone will grasp you in ways you could never imagine and shatter your heart into millions of tiny pieces. So not only will this book stop your damn heart it will give it a jump start too. (In various ways of course, hehe)
The steam factor in this book has also been jolted up a bit. You may want to have a portable fan nearby to help with the hot flashes. If no fan is available, read near open windows. If it's hot where you live and opening a window just won't help cool you down, opt for a squirt bottle filled with icy water. Or hell maybe read in the bathroom so you can be near the shower, because whew the sex scenes are sultry.
To read or not to read:
I SAY STOP WHATEVER YOUR DOING AND BUY THIS BOOK THE DAY IT RELEASES. WHILE YOU'RE AT IT, PICK UP A COPY OF ALMOST MATCHED RIGHT NOW, SO YOU WILL BE FULLY PREPARED.
