About the Author
Before becoming an award-winning author, ANISE EDEN wanted to be a wildlife photographer. Unfortunately, a strong aversion to large insects, poisonous snakes, and sharks―along with a cat allergy that might well extend to tigers―limited that career option. Also, Anise always roots for the gazelle, and we all know how that usually turns out. Fortunately, Anise’s voracious hunger for reading kept her occupied, eventually morphing into a passion for writing quirky stories filled with heart, humor, and imagination. Anise loves that through writing, she can live out any adventure she likes without the need for antivenom or antihistamines. Visit her online at AniseEden.com.

This is a great follow on to the first book and gives the reader a chance to see what the Macgregor group are all about. Some of the characters that I got to know in the first book take a bit of a back seat in this one so I did miss them a little but the development of the main characters and introduction of some new ones was brilliant. They brought more depth to the story and a lot more intrigue and mystery.
It was great to see the group working together towards a common goal and how their special skills are used and needed.
The romance between the two main characters continues to develop nicely and is still very real and not carried away or far fetched. I feel it has stayed very true to the characters and their circumstances.
The writing style, descriptive and narrative are on point and the quality of them is maintained in this second book. The author is good at creating an atmosphere along with the description of the surroundings which helped with this story at it is an unusual location and situation.
I think there is much more to learn and come from this story and I am looking forward to reading the next one. This is making out to be a very compelling series.

Now in the second book Cate is now not just part of the program at MacGregor group. She is part of the staff. And her abilities are needed to help patients and also to help the group itself. Don't want to give too much detail as this books story is really intriguing and full of surprises. I enjoyed every minute of it. The author does not disappoint.
We also fall more in love with the characters. Especially Cate and Ben. There relationship is fresh and it's sweet. I love how patient he is with her.
As I did for the first book, I highly recommend this story. It's not just a romance but also a fun action pact paranormal story. I also found most of pretty funny. I found myself laughing out loud a few times. It also leaves us ready for book 3.

The story All the Wounds in Shadow: The Healing Edge - Book Two by Anise Eden is a paranormal/romantic suspense book. The second book in the Healing Edge series starts off with a bang when Cate, Ben and the others in the MacGregor Group find themselves part of an investigation that will have them using their unique abilities. What happens had me on the edge of my seat and quickly turning pages to find out how it all is resolved. This is also a story that has Ben and Cate’s new relationship being tested. I simply adored the first book in the series and the second one is just as amazing. Ben and Cate are my favorite characters and can’t read enough about them. Their developing relationship is to me one of the best things about this book. I also liked reading about the others that are part of the MacGregor Group and how they interact. Each one of them has their own unique ability and when called upon they are there to assist one another. I really enjoy the attention to detail that the author uses in her story especially when describing when Cate or the others use their abilities. This is an amazing story that I got lost in. It is part of a series so I can’t wait to read the next book.
All the Wounds in Shadow is the second book in the Healing Edge series by Anise Eden. You could read this book as a stand alone but I would recommend that you read them in order. The back story will help you understand things in this book. This is the continuation of Cate and Ben’s story. The author made her characters true to life, and the secondary characters really make it a great story wi a bunch of twists and turns. I was hooked from the very first page and read the whole book in one sitting. The paranormal part of the book was nicely handle and I love the mysteries that Cate, Ben and the rest of the MacGregor group must figure out. This is a fast paced action packed story and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. If you are a fan of paranormal I would highly recommend this book.
I knew I would read the second book. I will say that I enjoyed this second book more than the first. Cate is doing better I feel and is taking life slow with Ben. It was still slow but I liked they direction the author went. This was a different view of Paranormal and the author makes you take note on how everything doesn’t have to be hot and heavy. But you get those moments were its really intense and the pressure for more is on. I wasn’t a big fan of the first book but this one had me understanding the first book more. The characters interacted really well together. There were a lot of different personalities in the mix and the author did a great job making sure no one was overshadowed or ran on in their moments. I look forward to book three and all the surprises the author has waiting for us.
Eden continues to write a story you won’t want to end and characters you grow instantly attached to. I can’t wait for book three.
