Fantastic written story about Vampires, Witches, and not to forget Mages like Joshua. He always gets himself in trouble lol fun to read!
I liked the storyline and the humour Joshua gives he never loses his funny side, even in hard situations. I really like this style open and full of surprises keeps you wrapped up in the development of the plot makes it more exciting, you don't want to stop. So have some snacks ready and enjoy a great paranormal storyline!
The only thing is that those books are very short.

Totally awesome! Great verbal and situational humor backed by awesome mage skills with elemental magic. Publisher's blurb hints at the plot, but can't give a good perspective on the interactions between supernaturals, or the magical antics. Looking forward to hearing more!

It was really interesting read. All characters was different but with wheir each personalities. There was lots of action and because book is so short it was really fast pasted but not in bad sense. After reading it I want to know more about main character so I hope soon I will find some time to read first book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good paranormal read 8 Dec. 2016

I was very pleased with this standalone incident in the doings of assorted vampires, humans and mages, most of whom I already knew a bit about. Read it to advance your awareness of paranormal battle skills.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun, quick read packed with adventure 4 Oct. 2015
By Tonja Drecker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I read this after reading the first two books in the series (so before book 3). The leading man, Joshua, wants a vacation (and after his last adventures, I thought he deserved one), but heroes aren't so lucky.

As in the other books, this story maintains a great air of humor despite the action, vampires and danger involved. Joshua has developed nicely, more independent, sure and mature than before. I enjoyed seeing him out on his own and getting a better sense of what he's like when he's not fighting to save his mom (or trying not to fight with his father.) He's evolving into a hero to die for.

The scenes are well set, and I had no trouble setting myself in the art gallery, alley, warehouse or where ever else Joshua's adventures lead. And his opponents are as fun as always--great to watch Joshua outwit them.

This is a short read and a fun one, perfect for a quick grab on a rainy night. And this works as a stand-alone as well, if one wants to get a touch of Joshua before diving into the rest of the series (which I appreciated).
In other words, if you love urban fantasy with a lot of humor during the kick-butt battles and saving the world, then I'd recommend taking a peek at this one.
3.0 out of 5 stars A Nice Follow Through 10 Dec. 2016

I agreed to do an ARC with the author for an honest review.

This is my first read from this author and this series, I do have another sitting in my cloud that I haven't gotten to, yet. And this is what I get for tuning into the game in the third quarter.

The story was very well written, its approach was unique. For as short as it was I felt the characters were decently fleshed out. The detailing of the story-scape was spot on so I have no real complaints, I just couldn't warm up to the story itself. Hopefully my perspective will change when I read the other story.

Thank you, Ms. Waters for this opportunity.
4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting teaser 20 Dec. 2016

This was a really great short story that introduces the reader to a world of vamps, mages, witches and other paranormal creatures. It works as a stand alone novel, and teases you with just enough information to make you want to read the previous books!

As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I give it four hearts only because it was too short to get me emotionally involved in any of the characters. I can see potential for engagement, but it didn't happen here. Maybe one of the other other books. We shall see!!
