Liam is a firefighter that makes his home in Naugatuck and has no plans of leaving. He’s what everyone calls a “good guy” and treats his Mom with love and kindness. Deep down, there is a dark side to Liam that he doesn’t share with anyone.
The two had a passionate romance 7 years ago, before Sophie’s Mon convinced her to leave home for New York to pursue her dream of dancing. Liam had planned on going with her, but Sophie’s Mom convinced her to leave him behind because that would be the best for Liam.
The two have a chance encounter and it’s clear they still have unresolved feelings for each other. Liam is still hurt because of the way Sophie left, so as much as he’s still attracted to her on some level he wants to punish her for leaving him that way. Sophie tries to keep her distance, but realizes it’s a battle she might lose.
The chemistry between the characters of off the charts! I loved both of these characters and it was clear they had qualities to complement one another. It’s easy to get caught up in this story and now want to put it down. The dialogue between the characters is good, even though Liam shuts down at times. The story covers just about every emotion…angst, love, sadness, anger, humor. Seven years have passed, could things ever be the same between them?
Callie does not disappoint, I would recommend this book!
After being at everyone's beck and call for years Sophie grows physically and mentally stronger and, after stumbling upon a property for sale, decides to open her own dance studio. This is where she and Liam, now a gorgeous 27 year old firefighter, come face to face again.
The attraction between them is still there and the sexual tension and chemistry is strong but Liam was devastated by Sophie's decision to leave and holds some resentment towards her. He is also keeping a secret from her, hiding his dark side, and all this leaves him conflicted and determined to stay away from her. However, feelings must out and when they share a passionate, lust filled kiss, everything changes.
This is a wonderful story of second chances, full of angst and love, happiness and tears, frustration and satisfaction. The characters are very well written and there are many hot and erotic encounters between them. It was great to have cameo appearances by characters from the previous book in the series but it is absolutely not necessary to have read that to enjoy this one. However, I would encourage you to read In Deep, simply because that is an excellent book too.
All of Me is a 5* read and I can't wait to see what Ms Harper has in store for us next.
Sophie, strong and determined after retiring from the life of professional dance, throws caution to the wind and sets her sights on a new studio, but the studio will bring her far more than she bargained for, opening doors she never knew she wanted opening and certainly not by the man she's never forgotten.
Liam oh holy hotness Liam, dominant, alpha male that will ignite a fire deep inside of you. The chemistry between Sophie and Liam pours from the pages, the story flows effortlessly capturing your full attention from start to finish.
Another stunning read from Callie can't wait to see what comes next.
This is a good second chance book based around Sophie and Liam. 7 years ago, Sophie was a ballerina in the prime of her life about to make it big in the world of dancing and moved to New York to further her career, leaving Liam behind, something he thought would never happen, he was prepared to go with her, instead he got his heart broken and got left behind.
Now age 25 yrs Sophie is back home, having had enough of being a prima ballerina, but doesn't know which direction to take her life next. Sophie comes from a wealthy family and has never wanted for anything, but she has earned her own money from dancing and wants to do something different with her life now. She has thought a lot about Liam, but expects him to be married and moved away, not still in their hometown. She ends up wanting to buy a historic building which needs a lot of work and a lot of updating, and to open a dance school. She contacts a lot of the locals to come and give her estimates for work, with everyone telling her there is no way to get the work done. When in walks her ex Liam, who is now a firefighter and also works as a carpenter. Both are dumbstruck to see each other again, as past feelings come to the surface, and old wounds are reopened. But they are not the same people they were, both are older and wiser with more experience. Liam is still angry and hurt from being left 7 yrs ago, but has since found his sexuality and knows he has a darkness in him - he is a Dom, and his darkness needs a release. Can they find a way to be together after being through so much already, and keep his darkness under control??
This is a good story with good solid characters, their sexual chemistry is off the charts when it gets going. But there is a lot of to and fro between the characters, he wants her but wants to punish her for leaving, and is also very indecisive about their relationship, which got on my nerves a bit. But the story is full of angst, love, pain, despair, anger and acceptance. Lots of involvement from other family and friends which add to the story line. The story was a bit slow to start for me, but by the end the book I had enjoyed the story and will definitely read more by Callie Harper
