We've got the track listing and the original track listing together with the artists BUT Amazon UK only lists the tracks and NOT the al important artists.

heck I wanted to know who was on this newer CD so here it is.

If I've made any mistakes just add a note in the comments and I will adjust and give you the credit for the correct list.

ANY OF YOU OUT THERE WHO BOUGHT THE ORIGINAL VINYL 'ALL GOOD CLEAN FUN' WILL KNOW WHAT A GOOD SAMPLER ALBUM IT WAS (IN MY OWN OPPION ON OF THE BEST SAMPLER'S EVER). OVER THE YEARS I HAVE MANAGE TO PURCHASE MOST OF THE FEATURED TRACKS & ARTISTS.
NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG...THE CD RE-ISSUE IS STILL GOOD, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS IT USED TO BE. WHERE ARE THE TRACKS BY SWEET PAIN, SUGARLOAF,AMON DUUL II,NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND AND THE BRILLIANT TRACK 'SPILL THE WINE' BY ERIC BURDEN & WAR. EVEN SOME ARTISTS WHO DID APPEAR THE FIRST TIME ARE DOING DIFFERENT TRACKS.
HERE'S THE ORIGINAL TRACK LISTING FOR YOU TO COMPARE WITH WHAT'S ON THE NEW CD RE-ISSUE:
ERIC BURDEN & WAR:SPILL THE WINE.*
HELP YOURSELF:STREET SONGS.
NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND:CHICKEN REEL.*
COLIN SCOT:TAKE ME AWAY.
IF:HERE COMES MR TIME.
MAN:DAUGHTER OF THE FIREPLACE.
COCHISE:HOME AGAIN.
MORNING:DIRT ROADS.*
GYPSY:LET ME TAKE YOU HOME.
ALLAN TAYLOR:SONG FOR KATHY.*
ERNIE GRAHAM:DON'T WANT ME ROUND YOU.*
CANNED HEAT & JOHN LEE HOOKER:BOOGIE CHILDREN No2 (EXCERPT).*
GROUNDHOGS:CHERRY RED.
SUGARLOAF:HOT WATER.*
HAWKWIND:BE YOURSELF (EXCERPT).
AMON DUUL II:RACE FROM HERE TO YOUR EARS.*
MORNING:ROLL 'EM DOWN.*
CANNED HEAT:THAT'S ALRIGHT MAMA.*
BRINSLEY SCHWARZ:FUNK ANGEL.*
REG KING:GONE AWAY.*
NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND:YUKON RAILROAD.*
SWEET PAIN:JOY (EXCERPT).*
B.B.BLUNDER:SEED.
*THESE TRACKS REALLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED BECAUSE WITHOUT 'EM THIS RE-ISSUE IS A BIT OF A DISAPIONTMENT!

I borrowed the original album from my brother in "72" and couldn't bear to give it back it was sooo good, then in turn it was secretly borrowed from me, never to be returned. Imagine my delight when I spotted it on this site, I knew the album inside out, every song and every word, It was part of my Rites of passage and an extremely Fun time that was, never to be forgotten. I didn't have to wait long it arrived the next day. Excitement was rapidly replaced by extreme disappointment I was devastated... It was a completely different album, all the best tracks that really made that record had been replaced. I think it should be stated at the beginning of the main site that this is not the original. WHY CAN'T WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL SAMPLER ON CD? IT WOULD SELL.

I bought this as a gift for my husbands 56th birthday, he has had the vinyl one for years and it was past its sell by date, DO NOT BUY THIS if you want a trip down memory lane.
It is nothing like the original record. half the tracks are missing.
Result...one big unhappy husband!...not nice!...be warned!!

I really don't care whether this cd matches up to the orginal vinyl version - it ain't available so why worry about it.

This collection of Liberty artists (whilst strictly second division in the great scheme of things) does what a sampler compilation should do - introduce you to a number of artists that you would like to explore further.

The bad news - too much Groundhogs, Man and Hawkwind (4,3,3 tracks respectively.) Also it's presented in a clunky plasic case (see the 'Time Machine' & 'Legends of a Mind' box sets as to how it should be done).

The good stuff? Plenty!

The Idle Race (Jeff Lynne pre Move)

Help Yourself - Street Songs (Very PC - not!) & Eddie Warring (guitar wig out time)

High Tide (dualling violin and guitar)

If (awesome vocals)

Gypsy (pre dates Teenage Fanclubs 'Everything Flows')

Brinsley Schwarz & Bonzo DDDB (compilations ordered from Amazon)

and my very favourite - Clive John's 'Out of My Tree'

Well worth buying....it's now on to the Dawn compilation
