My passion is Early Years Education, although initially I wanted to teach junior children - less chance of being weed on and when you ask them to do something, they can actually do it!
My love of Early Years came from watching a very talented practitioner make real 'magic' happen in the classroom. Once I got the Early Years bug, I never looked back.
I became an Early Years teacher, then a Deputy Head and eventually a Head Teacher of a 3 form entry Infant School and Early Years Unit. After 10 years of Headship I moved into writing and consultancy full time back in 2009.
When I wasn't creating 'moments of magic' in the classroom (!), I managed to get married and have 3 boys who are now all gorgeous, but grumpy teenagers. Two of them are left handed and one was born in August (and left handed) so that alone has given me plenty to research, talk about and write about. Who doesn't love a left handed August born boy?
When I am not delivering training conferences I am usually working alongside practitioners in their settings. I also write a regular blog www.abcdoes.com about all things Early Years.
