Alfie Dog is an Entlebucher Mountain Dog. He was born in Belgium in 2005 and his full name is Einstein van de Tiendenschuur. Although he lived in Belgium for the first two years of his life he moved to the United Kingdom in 2008 and has lived in North Yorkshire ever since. He started writing his diary at the age of 10 weeks and, with the exception of the odd day, when his human was in hospital and he couldn’t find the password, he has written it every day since. You can find his diary at www.alfiedog.me.uk He is also the author of the novel ‘Alfie’s Woods’, which he co-wrote with his human and the Pet Dogs Democratic Party Manifesto.
He lives with Shadow (Aisha Princess of Beauty) who, at the time of writing, is mother to 18 of the 50 Entlebuchers in the UK and due to have her final litter this year. His other companion is Aristotle, Shadow’s wayward son, who terrorises Alfie whilst idolising him at the same time.
