A great three-book story

In Book Three of The Alexandria Rising Chronicles, author Mark Wallace Maguire closes his three-book introduction to protagonist Rand O’Neal and the powerful, other-worldly Slendoc Meridian stones he must protect. In this series, readers have watched O’Neal move from unsuspecting Georgia newspaperman to guerrilla warrior in a battle of good v. evil – all over four continents. Maguire is a master at using vocabulary to create visuals, placing even casual readers (like me) in the center of the action. I especially encourage readers to use the appendices in the back of the three books to gain further character insight. The series has been a quick, fun ride and I am sad to see the end – and hope the ending is only temporary. While Maguire seems to sum up this particular story in three books he carefully leaves the door open for future stories involving O’Neal, the stones, and the mysterious villain known as The Shark who made an early appearance and then disappeared into the wings. This is one reader who hopes the adventure continues.

The third and final book in Mark Wallace Maguire's Alexandria Trilogy brings the series to a suspenseful and satisfying ending. Rand can't seem to catch a break as he is forced to battle those that would control the Slendoc Meridian and try to use him for their nefarious means. This book moves even faster than the previous two and will pull you along quickly to the climactic ending, leaving you wishing for more.

This was the perfect culmination, pulling together the pieces from the previous two books and providing a compelling conclusion to an exciting saga. Loved it.
