I will give you a bit of The Count of Monte Cristo as a way of introduction. If you have watched the movie, then you don't know what you are missing! The book does chronicle the life of poor Edmund Dantes, a young sailor on the Pharaon. It seems that Dantes has everything his heart could ask for--a loving father, a doting fiancee, a job promotion, and an upcoming marriage. But great fortune often brings great enemies. Enter the antagonists...Danglars is a ruthless shipmate on the Pharaon who resents Edmund's promotion and had a disagreement with Dantes that fueled his rage. Ferdinand is in love with Dantes' fiancee, and with Danglars sets a trap for Dantes...on the day before his wedding by denouncing him as a Bonapartist. What follows is a series of bad luck that lands Dantes in prison at the dreaded Chateau D'If! How will he escape? What will he do when he finds out what has befallen him? What follows is a tale of revenge that has not been given justice on any screen yet! The methodical way in which he brings justice to his enemies will have you wowed. In the end, what will Dantes learn about justice? Himself? Read it to find out how it all really worked out! :) And while you're at it, read some more books by this classic author!
abilities was to create characters you will remember. Characters in novels such as The Count of Monte Christo, The Three Musketeers
and The Man in the Iron Mask.In some cases the writing may seem dated but I would overlook the few occurrences and enjoy the stories,
You will always remember the names D'Artagnan, Athos, Pathos and Aramis.
