By far the best book out there on McQueen's work is the Savage Beauty tome. Harold Koda has more experience with books of this kind and it shows.
However, the written description of each collection is a recap of model's names "sashaying down the runway" about sums up the books take on the designs seen within. Don't expect a industry's insider delving further to explore the collections in a new light, instead maybe stacked high on tables at your local Urban Outfitters for a quick sale.
After looking at the author's list of literary contributions inside the back cover, it leaves you to wonder if this was written simply to capitalize on McQueens work instead of coming from a place of authority or respect and admiration.
