It looks almost like a seedling sprouting from its pot (well that is its intention) not your run of the mill (bog standard) loo brush , pardon the pun, but I just couldn't help it! But a piece of art, and well designed and made as with all the Alessi pieces.
The best bit is that you can also replace the brush(cleaning bristles) with a spare at any time you need to (haven't checked out how much they cost yet!) Instructions are given for the replacement and yes they do seem fairly easy, the brush itself is made of a rubbery substance and its spikes look solid. The brush does seem well made though and tough enough to withstand the most heavy handed users.
Also the pot (brush holder) seems solid and not an easy item to fall over, which is good along with the fact that it closes, so that the brush is covered (not on show or open to flies). This is an easy item to clean too which is a big issue for items like this.
Would be even better if Alessi could bring out a loo roll container for holding spare rolls (one that matched this loo brush would be great).
Could make a excellent present for any house warming as it is male or female orientated. Or just treat your smallest room, you would get many an envious look from your visitors when they see this compared to their run of the mill, cheap tatty looking plastic loo brushes. (Not on akin to the loo rolls in the knitted dolls though) heaven forbid! Not got anything against those, I am sure that they are fine in someone else's smallest room, but preferably not mine.Read more ›
