Alan Forrest Smith... Writer, author, deep thinker that has his roots in philosophy. His life has been varied. Once a hairdresser for over 20-years, a fundamentalist and fully minister for 21-years and now author and writer. A writer of short stories, poetry, philosophy (Zoomanity) and his 10-year old blog packed with writings and thoughts.
Originally from Scotland, today Alan lives between Manchester and Tbilisi, The republic of Georgia with his second wife Tamuna.
Alan is currently working on three new books.
In his own words…
“I started writing around the year 1978 when I formed a punk band. I started thinking a long time before then. Too much thinking and dreaming always got me into trouble at school. I failed all kind of writing and academia. I write around one and a half million words annually including blogs and emails. I’ve written books, manuals, poetry and philosophical ramblings over the past decades for myself. In 2012 I had my very first book published – Escape from Zoomanity.
I studied religion as an ordained minister for over twenty years. What I believe right now may not what I believe tomorrow. I think we all create everything we have and don’t have. I don’t think everything can be explained and those that think it can are fools! Science is a thought that is easily reversed. Religion is a control that can easily be reversed.”
