Over 100 years and going strong, Aladdin continues to break new ground with award winning designs, innovative material and eco-friendly solutions for the everyday. The BENTO collection is inspired by Japanese bento boxes; the unique stackable containers can be adapted for any recipe while food is stored at just the right temperature. The 0.60L Bento box keeps food hot/cold for up to 5 hour, within the lunch box is an internal divider to keep food seperate. The 100% leakproof lid has a silicon vent that prevents vacuum building inside the container. The Bento box can be microwaved without the lid.

What this is:
A well-sized, durable, attractive, leak-proof, easily cleanable lunch box. Suitable for warm/cool lunch and keeping veggies separate.
What this is not:
A thermos, or an alternative to having a microwave. Unsuitable for soup or ice cream (if you were hoping it would still be hot/cold by lunch).
This is suitable for someone who wants to bring food in from home with the intent of popping it in the microwave at lunch, or wants their food to maintain a bit of warmth or just not to empty/fall apart in transit. Heating my food at home, it's about body temperature by the time I get to lunch. I bought this because I don't have access to a microwave at work, so this saves me a bit of cash in having to buy hot food when I get here.
Having said that, I really like my Bento Box. It keeps my food warm for as long as I need it to (admittedly only an hour or two) and is leak proof as long as you don't fill it too much.
Take this morning for example, I filled it with boiling water (I don't know if this is necessary, but it can't hurt!) left it for 5 minutes whilst I warmed my soup. I only filled about half of it with soup (which apparently may shorten the length of time food stays warm) and then left for a half hour walk in the cold up to uni.
Almost two hours later the soup was still steaming, but was cool enough to eat comfortably. Just what I needed on a cold autumn day!
With regards to the colour, it does seem to be more of a dark pink than a purple, but its still attractive and I have had comments about how nice it looks.
There is a divider in the container however it does not reach the top of the container so I'm not certain how well it would hold foods separately - I haven't tried it to be fair, only with water!
I've spent years running round the house like a looney in the mornings looking for the lid that goes with "this" tub or conversely, the tub to go with "that" lid. Cheapo sandwich tubs from the shops, or more commonly left over tubs from the Chinese takeaway that have been washed out and pressed into service as a means of transporting lunch from the fridge and into the office (assuming you can find a complete tub + lid), can just about fit a slice of bread in and invariably get close to melting point if you attempt to microwave them...
My aladdin does away with all that messing about, and even sports 2 compartments, allowing me to bring in extra for my partner, a second course, or whatever.
I tend to use this to transport cold pasta's and the like, and to be honest only really need to use half of it as it'll hold a fair amount of food if you're just planning on carrying lunch. The larger compartment comes with a little plastic tray thing that you can use to separate things out with if you want to. As a modular system you can also buy different lids or tubs and connect them together into larger "boxes" or separate them into two individual ones instead if you prefer.
Unfortunately due to the shape, you aren't going to be carrying sandwiches in this thing, but you can carry pretty much anything else.
I've not run into the problems others have reported with keeping food hot, as I generally use it to carry cold food, which it does without any difficulties.Read more ›

Containers are small and food does not keep warm. Much Better products out there. This only serves an aesthetic purposePublished 1 month ago by waibex
Very good product, keeps warm for several hours, the only negative issue is that it is difficult to open.Published 1 month ago by tina dizdarevic
Externally too big and bulky to be practical. Internally too small to hold enough food for a satisfying meal. I returned it without using it. Read morePublished 2 months ago by LL Coaching

Nice product but does not keep warmth for very long, maybe two hours maximum.Published 4 months ago by Lidia
This is a great idea, however it doesn't keep the food hot, it's only warm by the time its eaten within the 4 hour window. Even when heated to a really high temperature. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Natalie Zullo
