My only gripe is that the screw holes are of a thinner thread, which I believe is the sort used on 2.5" drives. Where as 3.5" drives use the wider (larger pitch, as it's known) thread. This isn't normally a problem, as they provide suitable screws. However my case, Antec P180, uses rubber gromets to hold the hard drives in place, and so I can't affix them properly, as they need special screws, which only come in the larger thread size. So unless I can find the same type of screws in smaller thread, I can only bodge it with random thin thread screws that mean it is loose and hangs about inside.
I don't know why they didn't use the same thread size as standard 3.5" drives, for compatibility.
I had a look around and this adapter seemed both affordable and perfectly suited to my needs so I got it with my new SSD.
I've had no problems with it, it came with the screws needed to attach it to the SSD and then insert it into my PC. It was all in place in a few minutes. The bay has space for a couple of SSD's if you require.
It is a simple and inexpensive way of ensuring your SSD is well secured.
A slight gripe I might have is that the total height of the drives (once installed) are not quite enough to manage without some small problems. For example, the power cables might be a bit fiddly to insert (depending on your cables) as the drives are close together. This is not a problem with adapter though and it serves its purpose well. The issue is with the shape of some power cables. You may be limited to one 2.5 drive per adapter for this reason but having installed two SSD's on this adapter with my awkward power cables were you should be fine!
Still, a good rigid adapter at a great price!!
