1.0 out of 5 stars Airy Fairy Boxed Set - including Magic Mess, Magic Mix-Up, etc. 27 Feb. 2007
By M. Ingram - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Though I purchased the Airy Fairy boxed set after viewing positive write-ups by other readers, I was very disappointed in several elements in the Airy Fairy books. 1) The character Airy Fairy is continuously abused by a bully Fairy named "Scary Fairy." Who wants to read stories to their children which involve the theme of chronic bullying? 2) The bully, Scary Fairy, has a "supporter" who is an adult "fairy teacher" in the book. Not only is the bullying bad enough, but Airy Fairy has no hope when the teacher supports the bully. 3)The name-calling by Scary Fairy to Airy Fairy is appalling. The names of "dumb," "stupid" and "idiot" are not allowed in our household, so finding them in these stories (and used throughout each of the books in the set) is upsetting. I became so tired of eliminating phrases from these books that I decided to return them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Airy Fairy Reading 30 Jan. 2007
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Great book for all children!! The Airy Fairy books read well and support the philosophy of positive thinking and encouragement; (with only a little negative conduct from Scary Fairy), but Airy Fairy always prevails. However, my child and friends love Air Fairy and all the mishaps that go on in her tiny life. Her daily mishaps allow them to enjoy the current adventure and anticipate the upcoming story. I have to admit, my friends and I also enjoy reading those adventures, too.
