Do not buy this blu-ray movie. The picture quality is seriously that of VHS, presented as a small square in the centre of a wide screen TV.
This should have been a Fabulous Film, as I have been an Airwolf fan since childhood. Instead, it has shown me that blu-ray does not necessarily mean a quality production. I shall think twice before buying an older film on blu-ray in future.

I really wasn't expecting much from this blu-ray release, I just wanted the Airwolf movie because I like the alternate opening (musically) and the alternate French Mirage dogfight, (otherwise, the original series pilot episode on dvd is WAY better!), but I wasn't expecting this abysmal picture quality on a blu-ray. As said in other reviews: squished image, lifeless color and sound-VHS quality at best. If you knew what I had to do to watch this in the States and then to get this disaster...well, live and learn.

Very poor show and the company behind this title fabulousfilms looks like they last updated their website about two years ago.

The 4:3 image is squashed slightly so is not even normal 4:3.

EDIT: Performed A Check To Verify...

On my 47" TV this Blu-Ray plays back 71x58.5cm which is 1.21:1

Playing back the Blu-Ray release of Space 1999 I get 77x58.5cm which is 1.31:1

A True 4:3 item in theory should be 4:3 which equals 1.33

Thus Airwolf is less than 4:3 and I assume is an error in the mastering process (perhaps mastering is not the correct word in this case).

Picture quality is below the quality limit of a well mastered DVD and indeed is a let down.

Sound is also only LPCM Mono and the only extras are some publicity shots form this 'movie' and the series.

However, even this is done poorly with some photos repeated.

Lastly, I would say by today's standard this film would be a PG rating rather than '18'

Stick to the series, don't bother with this movie. I thought I'd buy this hoping to re-live my childhood, but I was disappointed. The format is 4:3 so doesn't fit your screen completely, there are no extras, apart from some pictures from the series and some from the film. The film is painfully slow to get going and the acting is dire. Only for the most dire hard of fans (which I consider myself to be), but even I was disappointed.

This disk is a classic example of why taking a low resolution master and blowing it up to a higher resolution doesn't work.
Whoever did this apparently have no or very little experience with remastering for high resolution - or they just didn't care!
As a result of the remastering process there's a lot of combing and interlacing issues, and the resulting aspect ratio is not the advertised 4:3.
You would probably get better quality it you purchased a DVD version of this TV movie.

Quality of the content is pure tragic. Aspect ratio is LESS than 4:3 (?!) worse that DVD (and maybe even VHS). No subtitles (is politeness to see subtitles for hearing impaired). I really regret buying it :(

This was very disapointing. I brought this on the understanding that it was the film, but instead all it is is episode 1 and part of 2 of season 1 together. If you already have season 1 then there is not much point in buying the film as all you are doing is duplicating season 1.

It is great that that it is possible to beable to go in time to watch films that led on to a fantastic series and it helps bring back happy memories of when I went out for a drink the main topic was airwolf and what you could do a helicopter like airwolf and of course the young Jean bruce scot.
it's a must see film and the seires that goes with the film.
I will give this film 10 out of10.
