About the Author
Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) was born in the small village of Kraljevec, Austro-Hungarian Empire (now in Croatia), where he grew up. As a young man, he lived in Weimar and Berlin, where he became a well-published scientific, literary, and philosophical scholar, known especially for his work with Goethe's scientific writings. At the beginning of the twentieth century, he began to develop his early philosophical principles into an approach to systematic research into psychological and spiritual phenomena. Formally beginning his spiritual teaching career under the auspices of the Theosophical Society, Steiner came to use the term Anthroposophy (and spiritual science) for his philosophy, spiritual research, and findings. The influence of Steiner's multifaceted genius has led to innovative and holistic approaches in medicine, various therapies, philosophy, religious renewal, Waldorf education, education for special needs, threefold economics, biodynamic agriculture, Goethean science, architecture, and the arts of drama, speech, and eurythmy. In 1924, Rudolf Steiner founded the General Anthroposophical Society, which today has branches throughout the world. He died in Dornach, Switzerland.

However l did not buy or read the book to find out anything l did not know already it was merely out of an interest to read what Steiners interest is with this subject and how he interpreted what is actually an ancient and foolproof method of farming and growing crops which needs no insecticides or chemicals to grow perfectly good food by simply following the daily cycles of the moon.
When will Montesanto realise what we need to concentrate on,in other word the birth of the Biodynamic method is a rebirth people
used to use this method of farming many years ago to great effect without the need for fertilizers or GM or Roundup.
Greed as always is the issue here.
The agriculture principles in the book are based on Steiner's spiritual science investigations from which his understanding of the human being, the earth and the cosmos comes. The idea of a farm unit being self-sufficient in all its needs begins to make sense when you understand the background to what plants are, how things grow and the connection between humans, plants, animals, the earth and the planets. Don't dismiss these ideas they are coming to light more and more in all walks of life if we know how to look for them and see them. There is more to this world than what we see physically.
