This book is a part of 10 Volumes, I have read all 10 volumes and just started back to read the first volume again allover. A wonderful history and Biography of Great Sufi Masters of Oveyssi School and many important Sufis and poets of each Sufi Masters time. In each book you can read the biography of the Master and some of their works and teachings. I have enjoyed reading about their personal experience on their path.
The introduction in this book is quite interesting. The arthur Dr. Mohebbi has given a interesting information for any stunt of this school and also all Oveyssi Sufi Masters.
The first section of this book covers the life and teachings of the first Sufi Master of MTO Shahmaghsoudi school of sufism, and very interesting even though Hazrate Oveisse Gharani, did not meet the profit Hazrate Mohammad physically however, the profit Hazrate Mohammad spook of him and mentioned the Fragrance of Oveiss is coming from Yaman, which was his hometown. So it shows they were spiritually connected.

One of the famous teaching and verses of Hazrate Oveisse Gharani is : "Go to your Heart"
Section 2 of this book is about the biography of Hazrate Salman Farsi, which was rom the town near Isfahan, Iran.
His journey to find the right path is amazing story, how he leaves his family which had different faith and goes through many churches and travels far many lands to finally meets the prophet Hazrate Mohammad and he gives him the name Salman. Story of his life is full of dedication to his Teacher and after the prophet stayed faith-full to Hazrate Ali.

This collection of 10 volumes are very informative for any library and written in farsi in a very easy reading style.

I am learning the Persian language partly in order to read this book so I can better understand the roots of the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi School. The book covers the lives of Oveys Gharani (Uwais al-Qarani) and Salman Farsi in amazing detail! All references are cited and each fact and event is supported by a number of primary and secondary sources, contrary to other books (such as Martin Lings' Muhammad, which mentions the two Sufi Masters) that only give a single version of the history and very little references to go off of.

Great series, and well researched. I am excited for my Persian to get better so I can read the rest!

This series of books is so unique, there has been so much research that has gone into uncovering the lives of these great gnostics! The individual stories from their lives serve as examples in our current lives. What I think is most beautiful is that you really learn about the human part of a Sufi's journey. It is not easy and you learn about the struggles that were faced and the selfless way to move through them.
