After receiving the Kindle as a Christmas gift I have spent my first couple of weeks reading through free classics out of copyright, however I thought the time was right to move into more recent areas. Having read Agent's Diary on the blog for quite a few months I had consistently found it an amusing and honest insight into the property world, in a similar vein to other expose publications into the restaurant industry or junior doctors.

£1.25 is - even in this current economic climate - a small price to pay for this collection in my opinion. I have been slightly put off by the lack of reduction in price of some e-books compared to their paper equivalent, but this saving really struck me as worth the money - and so it has proved to be.

Pros:
- Cheap price
- Dry and witty sense of humour (slightly Jack Dee?)
- An interesting insight into the property world.

Cons:
- As the title suggests, this is only Volume 1 so readers of the blog may not be able to find some of their favourite articles. Hopefully subsequent volumes will sort this out.

This is a collection of pieces from the "Secret Agents" excellent blog. I've followed this blog for a while now, and can highly recommend this very reasonably priced download. Dry, cynical, a bit wistful and sad, but always darkly amusing and topical. Very interesting to see things from the point of view of a member of this much maligned profession. Excellent.

I've read this blog since the guy used to write a column for The Sunday Times. A great read - the Jeremy Clarkson of property. Well worth a download.

If you hadn't read the column in the Sunday Times (no longer featured unfortunately) and have not stumbled across the blog, then do give this a try. It would appeal not only to those in the dreaded Estate Agency world, but to anyone of a certain age fighting to keep their worklife, home, kids and sanity on an even keel in today's unstable economic climate.

I hope in future we might find out a bit more about life outside of the workplace including the wife, who would appear to have the patience of a saint! Great value and ideal for dipping into on a commute.

A friend recommended this Kindle collection to me, and I have not looked back since I delved into my pocket for the £1.15 to purchase it - such a steal! Not only is the "Agent's Diary" good for value, but it also portrays a very interesting point of view from a member of a much maligned profession. The volume is witty, easy to read and is great on a commute! The only downside to this collection is that there is only ONE volume and I wanted to read more! Hopefully subsequent volumes will follow!

If like me you read the blog and were a fan of the Sunday Times column then this is a must. Perfect for dipping in to (although a dip invariably turns in to a plunge), Agent's sharp and acerbic wit is laugh out loud, incisive and self-depricating.

A great collection at a genuinely unbelievable price that leaves one asking the question : when is the next one out?
