I had this on vinyl and gave it away, so I was overjoyed to find it available as a DVD. The recording shows Sutherland at her peak; she was truly extraordinary and at her best singing bel canto. An essential recording for all lovers of this genre.

This is a superb recording from the 60's of three outstandingly good voices. This is my most treasured CD.

Absolutely beautiful! Very well remastered and transferred to CD. I also have this on vinyl. All three singers are wonderful. However, I must say though I respect Conrad's skills a lot, I am not too crazy about his voice.

3.0 out of 5 stars ART OF BEL CANTO IS WEAK ON TENORS 4 Oct. 2013
By Rock Hound - Published on Amazon.com

The 1st CD features sopranos, and the 2nd, tenors. A logical arrangement! However, 1st CD has a lot of songs that are obscure for a reason--they haven't held up well over time. For the tenors, weak in artists like Caruso and Martinelli. Also, not sure what the compilers think Bel Canto is--some good liner notes would have helped.
