This has two separate CDs in the one package, a bargain since each was released separately as well. All the tracks are here in full as well as the excellent sleeve notes for both.

I first bought Blues for Greeny late in 2003 after hearing tracks from it on Paul Jones Radio 2 show, when driving home from work. Then just after Christmas I found out about this double and bought it as well, to get hold of After Hours. I was lucky a friend wanted the Blues for Greeny, so my first buy became his birthday present.

These two CDs are quite different.
Blues For Greeny is an unabashed tribute to Gary's hero Peter Green using the Les Paul given to him by Green, and dare I say it, but I think he surpasses his hero. However, given the lead, and time to practice, and his natural talent, so he should.
After Hours shows the group enjoying themselves playing the kind of music they like best, and I can hear Tommy Eyre's influence on several of the tracks. Again very distinctive and very good.

At the time it was two brilliant CDs for not much more than the cost of just one of them on its own. And half the shelf space. How could I resist this bargain?
