4.0 out of 5 stars KINDLE needs a Short Story Category for readers to Rate properly. 24 May 2017
By THE HOLEY ONE - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Hey KINDLE, are you listening?
You need to establish a seperate category for Short Stories. I'd love to give this book (After Darkt a Short Story) the Top Level rating possible but that would be unfair to any novel length story with the same rating.
Now, because of this, I'm only going to give this a Four Star rating.
This was a very enjoyable tale and I'm especially pleased when there are subtle clues in a story about what may be developing. It's also a treat when justice is served. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any hope for that coat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, this guy can write! 15 July 2017
By Teri Miller - Published on Amazon.com

I'm not a big fan of horror stories, they give me nightmares, but this story was 100% satisfying! So well written I was never jerked from the tale trying to parse out a sentence. Sweet!

Having said that let me tell you that I recommend this book to anyone. The bad guy is awful, and the ending left a smile on my face. I will not be having a nightmare tonight. I will be snuggling with my cat pretending she is a dog, a big dog!
4.0 out of 5 stars Danger, violence, and creepy lurking in quaint coastal town 18 May 2017
By Gypsy M - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I liked how this very short piece brought to life the small coastal town. And, yes, I picked it up because of the location being in Dracula and the description sounded like it might try to play on the vampire lore, which it did. There was blood drinking to be had here, as well as danger, and even a monster or two, though don’t get me wrong, there was real violence threatened here rather than just vampiric violence. The true stars of this were the monsters, while the tourist couple seemed rather bland, but then considering how short it was, they didn’t really have much room to grow personalities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story! 14 July 2017

This is a really good story to be so short. Sometimes when I read a short story it seems like the characters weren't introduced well or the story was too predictable but I didn't get that impression with this one at all. If u r looking for a quick read you should definitely check this one out! I can't wait to read a longer story from Mr. Campling.
