I like the book very much but I am slightly disappointed that there is actually only the instructions for two long rope necklaces. While I see that the various patterns included in the ropes, pictured on the cover, can be used individually etc. this was not quite what I expected. My fault, probably.

3.0 out of 5 stars Alot of money for the amount of book 3 May 2013

It's my own fault for not checking the page total for this book, but I loved the cover and the three previous reviews sold me. The book arrived and it is 30 pages. That's it, and there are very few inspiration photographs (3). The book contains 2 projects and was quite expensive. Yes, I like the 2 projects that are included and will make them, but I would NOT recommend spending 20.00 for this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a wonderful book of bead crochet patterns 17 Sept. 2014
By NanaDearest - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
It's my opinion that this book is for an intermediate bead crocheter, not a beginner wanting to learn the craft. The designs can be made from either 8/0 or 11/0 seed beads and THREAD and a SMALL crochet hook. A necklace from 6/0 beads would be quite heavy!
If you are new to the craft, learn how to bead crochet using larger beads, cord and a larger hook first. I've taught bead crochet at the bead store in my area. My students learn the process using a cotton cord and pony beads. Once they are comfortable with the technique, we spend the rest of the class time getting used to the smaller 6/0 beads strung on S-Lon cord. I recommend making several bracelets from 6/0 seed beads before attempting the even smaller 8/0 or 11/0 beads strung on thread.
There are several "design" patterns to each necklace. The necklace could be made with a single design or all of the designs. It's up to you. Bracelets can be made from the designs as well. Throw in the endless variety of bead colors and this book could keep you busy for a long time!

4.0 out of 5 stars I really love these designs..... 17 Jun. 2013

I really love these designs.....my only problem is in some of the directions, everything is there except crochet instructions. You need to use a very thin thread/cord/etc, with a very small crochet hook. It would have been nice to see illustrations and written instructions regarding how to begin the crochet process. I have been crocheting for years, using all sizes of hooks; but working with these small beads, thin thread and small hook was a real challenge, not to mention trying to change the number of beads for each round. I am working on an alternative method to create the same designs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pattern 25 Nov. 2012
By Catlynn54 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I participated in the online group on this project and loved it. As a result I now have two unique bead crocheted rope necklaces that are very striking and I always get positive comments on them when I wear them, either separately or together. Judith is a wonderful bead crochet teacher and artist. I would highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! 25 Nov. 2012
By Marlene Brady - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The instructions are clearly written and the graphs easy to follow. I bead crochet by following a graph, so I love all of Judith's bead crochet patterns. I also found the patterns easy to expand upon; I could add to or subtract in any section.
