Excellent book which explores the lives of children from all over Africa, really good at showing children that Africa has more than just one dimension! For example, It has challenged my daughter who has preiously thought that Africa is always hot.

I bought this book for my children. The title in itself was a topic of discussion between us. The majority of people will mention countries by name when talking about them but when it comes to Africa they don't say straight away to which part they are referring. It had a map of Africa at the beginning, told short stories about children in various parts and finished with information about each country and island.

A very well illustrated book on Africa for children. Told through thirty or so children from various countries in short glimpses, it is has a nice encyclopedia approach to it, all at the vary basic because it is aimed at young learners.

This is a brilliant book, it takes children from different countries in Africa and talks about a day in their life. It is too easy to just talk about Africa as one place, this book helps teach that there are lots of countries and cultures.

Accessible for year 2 definitely!

This is a very useful book to introduce children to a continent often talked about as if it were a country. It highlights the beauty and diversity of the everyday lives of the millions of children in that continent.

A lovely idea, to dispel ignorance about Africa. However, it needs an update; the story about Rwanda in particular does nothing to demonstrate how things have changed for the better there since 2002.
