Unfortunately I didn't really feel much empathy for the main characters but I did keep reading to the end and finished the book in a few sittings. Perhaps a good holiday read but not so much gripping as wanting to find out 'who dunnit' so to speak.
Far too wordy, hardly 'gripping'. I almost abandoned this book after about a third of the way through.
