The AeroPress is a revolutionary way to make the perfect coffee every time. It’s so simple to use, that once you own an AeroPress you won’t want to go back to instant coffee or using expensive coffee brewers. The AeroPress uses gentle air pressure which creates a smooth, rich flavour with lower acidity and without bitterness.
Other coffee makers drip hot water on to a bed of ground coffee which results in over extracting at the centre and under extracting the flavour from the edges. But the AeroPress brewing system results in uniform extraction for the ultimate in full coffee flavour. The AeroPress comes with full instructions for use; just add your coffee and water!
Comes complete with 350 filters, scoop, funnel and stirrer.
Everything you need to make professional coffee at home.

The History of the AeroPress
The Aeropress was created by Stanford University engineering instructor, Alan Alder.
The inception of AeroPress can be put down to one specific conversation between Alder and the wife of his company sales manager, they were griping about the fact that when you tried to make a single cup of coffee in a drip machine, it came out watery. From then on, Adler's mission was set and since the official release in 2005, the AeroPress remains one of Adler's most famous inventions to date.

Nothing particularly wrong with the other device, different niche, it can make espresso, this one can't. It's just down to the ease of use and cleaning.
You can make an AeroPress coffee and clean up in literally a minute, two tops, and after the first few times pretty much do it on autopilot: scoop coffee, hot water, stir, filter in the lid, close, turn over, press, open, hold it over the bin, eject the puck (with a quite satisfying kind of ker-chonk), vaguely wave it under the tap, done. Whereas the other device has fiddly little metal cups and things that you'll be trying to scoop the used grounds out of after making the coffee.
So yeah, if you're wondering if it'll be ok to use at work - this is the one to get.
I finally bit the bullet and got one on a whim and can't believe how quick and easy it is and how fast it is to clean. I've never really read reviews about people using them in busy offices but this is ideal for it!
It takes seconds to brew the coffee and condenses the grounds into a puck that you can drop straight into the bin and it good to go with a quick wipe. I wish I'd brought one years ago.
It's really fast, you pour the water in, stir, and can push the plunger down pretty much straight away. I'm yet to have any grains leak into the mug either.
It's also really easy to clean, especially compared to a cafetière or coffee machine, you just eject a compressed coffee disc, and give the rubber plunger a quick rinse under the tap.
I can also confirm it does make less acidic coffee somehow than other methods I've used. I like my coffee really strong, and normally by my 3rd cup I start to get indigestion, whereas with this it's not until cup 6 or 7, which isn't healthy but is impressive
In terms of quickly making a single cup of proper coffee, I don't know of anything that can do it better.
I went on to YouTube and discovered that this particular coffeemaker, which is hugely cheaper than the price I was originally expecting to pay, had garnered a big following, almost a cult-like following, and there were lots of reviews and methodology for the AeroPress. Okay, I was hooked and I thought I'd would want to see what it was like. When it arrived, with tote bag, 350 filters and various bits and bobs I was impressed. Very professional package I thought. I'd also ordered some metal filters as various reviews of these have been pretty favourable.
On to making the coffee. There are two major methods - the inverted method and the normal method and both are pretty easy to master with one viewing of a YouTube video. It's also possible to use either the metal filters or the paper filters and both produce different results in the tastes of the coffee. The paper filter seems to clean out virtually all the of the coffee leaving a very pure coffee drink. My previous cafetiere coffee always seem to leave a certain amount of mud at the bottom of the cup - not so with the AeroPress. The metal filter did leave residue but not very much and results in a stronger blend.
But the main reason for the purchase was cleanup. I have to say that the AeroPress scores very highly here. It's way easier to dispose of the grounds in my normal rubbish bin and it is even possible to retrieve the paper filter to use again. Apparently, the company recommends that you do reuse the paper filter. Given that you've already got 350 of them, one reuse takes this up to 700 cups, and they're pretty cheap to reorder anyway. If you're really lazy, cleanup takes approximately 5 seconds - after pressing the coffee into the cup, screw off the end and press the grounds into the bin. Genius!
All in all, I am a very happy coffee drinker now. I can use any coffee I like, I can use the frother that I purchased at the same time to make superb cappuccinos, and cleanup takes me next to no time. Not only this, I can use a variety of methods to produce exactly the coffee I want at any particular time. This has to be one of the best things I've ever bought off Amazon! And just a word of praise here, I even had it delivered a day earlier than originally scheduled.
