This is a brilliant new book from George and Harold, the creators of the enormously popular Captain underpants series, and every bit as appealing for its target age-group, late infants and junior aged children.
The story is told in simple black-and-white comic strip, with amusing pictures and minimal words, and it's a subversive take on time-travel. Ook and Gluk are time-travelling kung-fu cavemen from the future who roam in the land of the dinosaurs, amongst adventure and bad spelling (forchenately and fearsest, for example), and if you think this is anarchic, just wait til you reach the robotic dinosaurs and technological weaponry. This book is about as historically accurate and educational as a a Neolithic ipod - it's unashamedly foolish and fun so no wonder my children (6,8,and 9) love it! The book also contains patented flip-o-rama pages where, by flicking a single page back and forth, you can create a punch-up from two illustrated frames. fresh and entertaining, and a masterpiece if you want to tempt reluctant readers between the pages of a book. Buy!

I bought this book for my son for his 9th birthday. We are big fans of Captain Underpants, so coming across George and Harold's 2nd graphic novel was a got to have! I haven't read it, but the lad tells me he loved it. He rarely reads by himself. The only quibble some may have with the book is the spellings can be poor, but consistent with a kid's writing of the same age as George and Harold, so it might be worth giving your child the heads up about that before they get stuck in enjoying the book. Flip-o-rama rules.

My 8 year, who has long enjoyed the Captain Underpants books, read this for the first time last night and clearly found it hilarious. He laughed out loud on several occasions and couldn't stop going on about it. Would highly recommend

My son loved this book, he's not a confident reader (aged 9) but he read it in school then I got it for him to read at home.
I wish there was more Ook & Gluck'c to buy :(

This is yet another book in the series that is littered with spelling mistakes. I know the cartoons are supposed to look like they have been written by a child, but it just makes it impossible to pick up the correct spelling. I would avoid this book at all costs.

My son is eight and a poor speller, so I wasn't prepared to let him read a book littered in them.
