-So small could be lost / hard to find
-No tether port for cord

Its really tiny. Like a coin. Yet it hold on the the micro-USB end like an octopus and the regular USB end really well. I have used it on my Note 4 and even taken calls with a memory stick attached to the end of it (without realising) and it was still there by the end of the call. I use it with my Linx 10 to connect a 3TB External HDD and it works perfectly well. The best part is that I can convert any USB device and make it micro USB simply by attachin this and it add less than 1cm to the overall size. I actually manage to connect my Linx 10 to a separate powered USB Hub (my docking bay) which has additional USB ports as well as NIC and it still works fine. I was worried that it would overheat and melt but I have been streaming videos, transferring files as well as running RDP sessions over the wired network connected through this adapter and its still fine. I either keep it in my pocket in the provided box or in the coin pouch wrapped in a small baking sheet (just for safety). The only drawback(positive) to it is that it is pretty small so its easy to leave behind, but at the cost its offered, its also easy to buy a few.

This adapter caught my eye as a sleek and slimline option for adding a regular-sized USB port to a Raspberry PiZero, which had only a micro-USB port. This works perfectly.

The adapter feels well made and with a little care should last a long time. The micro-USB (male) side provides a firm physical connection and doesn't feel like it would ever fall out. The USB (female) side has also proved to make a good connection with devices, but occasionally feels a little less tight-fitting. This may be more about the devices I'm attaching than the adapter.

The adapter arrived in a small plastic case, like the ones used for SD cards, with a bit of foam cut to prevent it rattling around. It's a handy case to keep, otherwise this tiny adapter will soon get lost!

There may be other options out there but this suited my needs perfectly with its small size and neat little storage box. Well worth the purchase.

Update: 09/01/15: I'm not 100% sure at this point, but while moving 11gb of data from my phone to a 128gb Sandisk Fit it went red hot, like so hot I couldn't even touch neither this nor the fit. I'll pick up another OTG to test at some point and update then. In the meantime keep an eye out.

This just arrived and I've used it within minutes. I keep a small plastic box like a tictac box but waterproof which I keep little things like this so I have them to hand.

There isn't really much to say about this. I have tried a 32gb Samsung Fit Memory Stick in it, and tried a Kingston Data Traveller and some other USB Drives, an also a compact flash card reader, and they all work with my HTC One M8 no problems at all.

My only comment is, the Unicorn Beetle case I have on my phone has a dusk guard cap over the micro usb port, this presses quite firmly against the usb device and this looks very thin, so it would be worth looking out for it pressing just in case it breaks it.

I've had a few OTG cables suited to each upgraded phone, but some phone cases and covers have made OTG a bit of a nightmare.
I'd looked for something with a longer micro connector and these tick all of the boxes. With most cables the S5's waterproof cover got in the way and none of my OTG cables worked with the S3's LifeProof case. Prising open a LifeProof case to use a USB stick lost its charm very quickly.
The lack of plastic cover means the OTG plugs have worked with both phones and an LG G3. They easily fit in the coin pocket of jeans or a wallet, and aren't much larger than a micro SD card (see photo). I personally find the case a little redundant, but it helps to keep a spare one sellotaped to the side of my desk drawer for emergencies.
[Note: Probably an idea not to put keys in the same coin pocket as the metal plug on one of mine is bent. On the plus side, I can confirm it still works, even at a 45 degree angle!]

Pros - small size, and it fits past phone cases
Cons - only available as an add-on item

This thing has gone from being bought on a whim because I thought 'it might be useful one day' to being top of my geek bag as it is so useful.
Not much to say really, if you need a simple, small adaptor to get from a USB-A socket to a micro-USB plug (and lets face it these days, who doesn't?) then this tiny little thing can mean the difference to making it, or not. No brainer for me, especially considering the price.
OK its a little loose in the socket, if you knock/giggle it, your device will have a bit of a 'fit'. Leave it be and it can make ALL the difference.
