Order date: 16th March One Day Delivery estimate: 15th May Status: Dispatching Soon
Honestly, it's b***ocks. Called a very friendly Irish Amazon assistant who insisted that despite my order still in a warehouse somewhere, magically, I will have it tomorrow. I didn't order with Amazon for the price, but for the hassle-free service. Very lousy, last time I ever buy a game with Amazon. Bought another CE from GameStop - £15 cheaper, shipped last week. THAT is service.
Mine's been saying Dispatching Soon for a while now. It's already pretty late and I'm worried that it'll be the same as a year go with another game, and that it won't be dispached until release day, arriving a day late. For the record I have First Class release day delivery.
This is where I should seriously get annoyed by the stupidity that is amazon's pre-order system. Apparently changing anything in your order places you at the very end of the queue (AND delays delivery time)...Problem is the system never warns you about that, so had I not attempted to change delivery address on Friday I'd probably have received my copy by now (or at least have it dispatched)...As it is, the order is still stuck on dispatching soon and I had to fork out more to make sure I get it delivered tomorrow...If it wasn't for the vouchers I have with amazon, I'd never have ordered here :(
2 hours ago I got the email: Dispatched via UPS (estimated arrival date: Wednesday, May 16, 2012). Italy - pre-ordered 19 March.
Last 2 priority express orders estimated a day later but arrived on launch day. I'm sure I'll get it tomorrow. Also guys and girls: the updates (emails) are delayed but the actual handling I think is in time because I tracked mine and: "Order has been handed over to the carrier and is in transit - 14 May 2012 12:02:59 PM" I received the email at 6:00 PM.
Come on.. it's DIABLO and amazon knows it ! They took heed and bared witness to the truths that lies therein.
I'm just going to wait for the game to be released and the inevitable torrent of 1 star reviews given purely because Amazon didn't ship the game off when they said they would, and then take great pleasure in commenting on every single one, telling people the review section is for the product, not the quality of Amazon's delivery service. It happens with every Blizzard release, and Diablo 3 won't be any different. And does anyone except me really not care when their order arrives? Are people in that much of a rush to play it on day one? It all seems a bit pathetic to me.
Mine is currently "processing for dispatch" after sending an email and chat with the customer service. What a big disappointment from amazon. What is the meaning for pre-order if you cannot get the item on time.
Update: mine just "downgraded" from "processing to dispatch" to "dispatching soon". What a JOKE!
