I couldn't wait to read this book having previously read both books by this author. I love that Cory writes about younger men and older women....and writes it so well. Oh my, Cass was divine and sexy, Nic was stuck in the past, grieving the loss of her husband and not wanting to move forward. They meet and walls they have both built start to show cracks but who's will break first? Throw in a couple of friends and a fellow jealous female then sit back and enjoy the ride.
I'd recommend you read this and the previously released books by Cory, I'm looking forward to what she has install for us next. Can't wait, congratulations on a job well done. Well worth 5 stars.

I loved 'Bite and Release' and when I saw this had come up, it was a must buy but it had reviews already that were mixed. I can see why.
The story revolves around Nicola (Nic), a rich widow, who married young then lost her husband years earlier. She's grieved ever since, hiding away in her house and letting her husband's companies be run by others. Coming up to her fortieth birthday, friends Pru and Dee persuade her to go on holiday. They don't tell her the true destination, they knew she would never go.
The author has chosen to write Cass, her male character, in a way to reflect his coldness and cleverness so it appears academically correct, reflecting his way of thinking. This is contrasted with Nic, who is just an average woman. It's clever but sometimes the Cass part appears stilted at the beginning. As his relationship with Nic progresses, the stlltedness starts to disappear.
Anymore would give the story away but it is different and definitely worth a read if you're not offended by the constant sex.

Absolutely loved this book. In fact I love all of Cory's books, She never disappoints...

If you love a different kind of romance, where the H is an older woman...then this book is for you.

Love, lust, betrayal, jealousy, angst...these are just a few of the emotions that appear through this story.

I would have recommend...

I this one.
Cass is hard and harsh not an easy alpha to like and I don't think I did much. He seemed detached from reality and not the least bit likeable.

The intro is almost 5% of the book and the writing style and dialogue is curiously stilted, plus there is some homonym confusion which an editor should have picked up. Sometimes, the author doesn't complete the 'visual picture', there is some jumpiness and you get a little lost.
However, it does get into its stride and is an enjoyable tale of two people discovering each other and themselves at the same time.
