What I love about this series is discovering some new artists.Yes it has classic David Gray and Damien Rice .But the real jems are Josh Ritter,Jim White,Clara Bruni,Richard Hawley`s cover of "Young and Beautiful" or Engineers version of "If I were a carpenter".
The real standout track for me is Ray Lamontagne "Trouble" -it sounds like Van Morrison at his best(Atral Weeks ).

I have the full set of these, and they are brilliant. Originally I started buying them to hear a variety of musicians and music I did not know, so I could play the songs on my guitar. This series is brilliant, and I recommend them as musical cultural refenence point to all. 6 stars!

It's a 'nice' album, if you like all the songs, but it is by no means 'acoustic! Drum machines and reverb and who knows what else, make this distinctly un-acoustic sounding. So I found it disappointing. It's an average compilation album.

For one thing, the Oasis song is 'Stop Crying Your HEART Out' so...from that blunder you can pretty much guess what the album will be like.
