The only reservations I had about purchasing this laptop concerned the amount of unwanted software loaded on it and the alleged flimsy case construction. I need not have worried on either count. The added Microsoft programs are not quite as described - the machine delivered to me yesterday contained a fully licenced version of Microsoft Office Starter, which includes adequate versions of both Word and Excel. I've easily removed all the games and trial security software, which are surplus to my requirements. The laptop is lightweight, but for me that's welcome because I do prefer to literally use it at home on my lap whenever possible. I suspect that the shiny finish will get scratched in time, but I'll try not to worry too much about that.
The processor speed and RAM offerings are so much greater than my previous laptop and they enable me to work with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom without difficulty. The laptop is also very quiet compared to what I'm used to. Generally it gives the impression of having power to add if and when needed.
I could not be more satisfied with my purchase. Thank you for all the other reviewers who helped me decide.
