We did find that there is no audio - which wasn't a problem as we could use that from the stereo system, and you can't make the image bigger - unless you pull the projector further away from the way. Apart from that, its has been great to watch films with the family.
I have it connected to my Sony DAV-DZ260 - 5.1 ch - DVD Home Cinema System - Black which has HDMI output. At the DSub input on the projector, I have connected a HDfury 1080P HDMI to VGA Converter Transcoder and can now link the DVD player and Projector with a HDMI to DVI-D lead which gives me full 720 x 1080 HD picture display. Far superior to using a SCART converter.
Result = Fantastic picture and sound (Home Cinema on a budget).
Hope this is of use to someone.
this projector is FANTASTIC.
the imagine quality is outstanding. it is perfect for watching tv on, or movies etc, the colours are vibrant and clear. people may argue that this project is native to 800x600..
well so what? tv is only 800x600 max, and so are downloaded movies etc.
also people may argue, its only 4;3. again, what different does tht make> if u want 16;9 there is a feature for that, u will get the black lines across the top, but they are hardly noticeable, and what are they complaining about when you can achieve a 100 inch screen?
this project is brighter than the standard low end movie projector. this is EXCELLENT
as it means you can watch easily while there is sunlight in the room, or the lights are on.
people. do not hesitate to purchase this project. you will NOT be disappointed.
If you want to get the best out of this unit and only have a stand-a-lone DVD player, then purchase a scart to VGA adapter cable (available on Amazon)to take advantage of the higher refresh retes available via the D-Sub input(You will see a marked improvement over the composite connection).
I had to purchase a VGA switching unit to allow connection of both my x-box 360 and PC via the sole VGA input on the projector. But apart from the inconvenience of switching between the two inputs, I'm extremely happy with the purchase of this unit and would recommend this projector to anyone who doesn't have HDMI or 1080P equipment like myself. All in all a brilliant projector at this price point.
I hope this helps.
But why is this keeping getting more expensive? The first time I saw it on here it was £235, bought it for £245 and now it's £275???
