Pros -
- Very slim
- Small borders around the display
- Buttons are easy to use (actual buttons, I hate touch screen buttons)
- Sleek and subtle design
Cons -
- Back-light bleed in the bottom corners
- No hue controls
- The build quality at the front is lacking. From a high viewing angle I can see the display edges where the plastic inst flush with the display.
- Inputs are horizontal. So when plugging in your cable they will stick out very far.
- No audio output
- Lacking in inputs and outputs
I found that the colors of this monitor where a bit too green compared to my other monitors. To fix this, I changed the RGB values in the monitors menu.
Red: 100, Green: 80, Blue 100.
Taking all of this into consideration, with the price tag it is a great monitor. Although, I personally wished I spent the little extra money to get a slightly better monitor.

On a related note I should mention that this is only the second time I've ever bought Acer kit, the last time was a laptop about eight years ago (also from Amazon) - nice spec but the build quality was atrocious and keys started falling out of the keyboard after about a month. We use it as a desktop machine now and it works well connected to an external display and a decent keyboard and mouse.
If you've got the extra cash I'd urge you buy a better brand (Dell, Samsung, Lacie) but if not they're probably worth a punt at a smidgeon under a ton if you don't mind the thin, flimsy build which could be a portent of reliability woes to come. Caveat emptor!
First off, the colour reproduction to the untrained is, at least to me, very good. Correct brightness and contrast values for mine when calibrated were 32, 32. Fairly decent. If you want it brighter and more blinding... feel free to burn your retinas. No fault of the monitor of course.
The viewing angles for this thing are... nothing short of spectacular. At first I was like... wait, is this a TN panel? What the F? They're spectacular. The response rate is superb as well; no complaints there.
Ghosting. Unless you're nitpitcky and purposely go looking for it, you may or may not notice it but even then it is, to me at least, very minor and I've only noticed it whilst purposely looking for it as a test, when following my cursor at moderate speeds over a black / white surface. For fast performance, dynamic games you won't notice it. For fast action films, you won't notice it. Hell... I don't even know why I'm mentioning it, it is that insignificant... now all I'm doing is making potential picky buyers paranoid.
Trust me, it's an excellent 60Hz 1080p monitor. It's slim. It's efficient. It has 3 inputs. The viewing angles are exceptional and the bezel is small (for those interested in multi-screen setups). I'm thoroughly pleased that I picked it over the similarly priced, highly reviewed Samsung.
I'm still thrilled with it and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants a no gimmicks, 60hz 1080p screen that is inexpensive, yet ticks all the right boxes in terms of quality, performance and viewing angles.
