Great Blacks and Contrast

I have the other Acer 20.1" Monitor for sale by Amazon and bought this for a friend. The difference is huge. The blacks are black, white is white, the contrast is very good and it works great with Vista and OS X (Leopard) which i use. The screen looks much better than the previous model (even more so when you compare the two side by side) and looks much more expensive. You don't even need to adjust the brightness or contrast. Just leave it as it is.

Thanks Amazon for very quick free delivery. This monitor is good although not perfect. Takes some fiddling with to get just right and the menu is a bit fiddly too, but if you persevere you'll get there. Screen is excellent. Love the glossy glass effect. Very bright out of the box though so needed adjustment. Sits very low on the desk (could do with adjustable height or a longer arm fitting). Build quality is OK but not amazing. eg - more Ford than Audi or BMW I would say. And that sums it up - A ford Focus of monitors. Does most things very well, looks good and good value for money but will never enter the prestige market. Don't worry about no DVI - you will never notice the difference. Anyhow, that's for the purists, who wouldn't buy this monitor anyhow. Out of Ten - 7 - Would I recommend - Yes.

I bought this to replace a 1998 17" CRT monitor, and the improvement is enormous. Not only a bigger screen, but much brighter, sharper, more contrast, and I now have loads of extra desk space! No problems setting it up, no dead pixels, and my 5 year old driver had no problems - I only had to adjust the screen resolution via the Control Panel.
Highly recommended!

Picture quality is fantastic really bright and crystal clear. However, disappointed that it was sold as wall mountable yet there are no brackets supplied to fix it to the wall!! Would have given it 5 stars if brackets were supplied so only a 4. Very easy to set up, change the resolution in control panel as advised then one click of the auto button and the monitor is synchronised with your computer.
Highly recommended and good value for money just wished my last monitor had packed in ages ago!!
