The acer ultrabook is OK, a couple of things are good, a couple bad. First the good, it's small, thin and light. It looks good and does everything one would expect in a laptop.

The bad, the battery life is rubbish, it's advertised as 5 hours, however I have never got over 3, the fan is on constantly, making this a loud machine (this is probably the reason for battery drain, although I have installed 3 different OS's so it isn't a rogue process). The keyboard feels flimsy, and the display is not as sharp as other equivalently price none ultrabook laptops. Finally there is no included cd media to reinstall windows 8, there is a recovery partition, but if u wish to install other OS's as I did you will invariably delete this, don't bother contacting ACER support as they ask you go reinstall from the recovery partition.!when you explain that it is no longer there, it just doesn't compute! Go buy a dell, , sony or IBM ultrabook and steer clear of this one

I like the size and weight of this laptop. It is easy to navigate and I would be an amateur in this area. It is fast and responsive and the keyboard is comfortable to use. I like the appearance too, it's very smart. I had an Apple book prior to getting this and liked it very much but when it was stolen I decided I wanted something a bit less complicated and now I know I will probably become addicted to this so it'sa bye bye Apple and all the expense that goes with it.
My only quibble and it is a small one was the new format when I first started using it. I found it annoying until I realised I could pin Internet Explorer to the task bar and after that it was bliss. Because I am an amateur it took me longer than it should have to realise this.

Amazon's customer service is exceptional. They sent me a replacement for the faulty on in no time.
Onto the product now. The design is perfect. It is very light and very mobile. The screen is great and the touchpad is good as well. The keyboard will take a little time to get used to but it is fine.
On the bad side is that the battery does not last nearly close to what the manufacturer says (6.30 hrs). With medium brightness and only browsing or typing on word the battery lasts a little more than 3:30 hrs.
In general i am very satisfied with it. Keep in mind that this is not a gaming pc or anything that requires a lot of power. So keeping that in mind it is a great product.

Slow as bananas, it is slower than my old '09 HP POS laptop. sigh. I had problems with it sleeping when i shut the lid. I would always have to pysically press the button to make it come on. With a few updates it seems to have fixed itself, but meh.

This ultrabook is exceptional, and provides great user experience and an elegant design for an excellent price!
It's been great ever since the day I unboxed it. Its aluminium design is very similar to a Macbook Air, looks astonishing, if not even better than the Macbook's design! Its very thin and light, which is great for portability. The keyboard is excellently placed with gaps around the keys, again, like a Macbook. It comes with Dolby home theatre sound integrated that provides excellent quality audio, which helps (because I use this laptop for music producing mostly). I have no problems with the screen, which is clear, even at 1366 x 768! It has 500GB hard drive, which is about average for a laptop these days but I find it's enough. It also has 2 USB ports, and a HDMI port, which I really like because you can easily plug it into a TV and watch something without no stuttering or connection problems with the display.
I have a few cons, though. If you use high demand programs (such as FL Studio, like me) the CPU usage can peak quite easily and will often cause a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). But it will easily reboot afterwards. Google 'Windows 8 BSOD' if you dont know about this.
Due to how thin this ultrabook is (and like most ultrabooks) there is no LAN connector port, meaning that you are often reliant on WiFI for internet, unless if you buy a USB to LAN connector. Also the battery is pretty much attached to the laptop, so if the computer freezes then there is no way of doing the old 'pull the battery out' trick. But, the power button is very useful and if you do run into any problems I find it very helpful because if you push it it will immediately shut down the laptop.

Bought for my daughter at university.
Looked fantastic but hard drive fried within 2 months.
Amazon initially tried to get me to have it repaired by Acer.
After brief debate they agreed as is their duty to refund.
