Upgrade for my old PC replacing a 15" tube screen.. This Acer is brilliant.. big screen, crystal clear & sharp. and when you plug in to yr old PC it adjusts itself for the best settings! aspect ratio & all.. just reset the display to the higest resolution.

Cant imagine why you would want any more from a screen.. Neat, slim, very smart.

Excellent price, & arrived the next morning after ordering previous afternoon..

Much better than expected, cant fault.

Don't know if they sell these anymore but for the size it was a bargain when I bought it for around £120 (2007). Quality is excellent, but perhaps not bright enough on a very sunny day. The switch almost fell off as it was loose, a bit of super glue improves the build quality straight away.

Excellent no-frills monitor

I have one of these monitors, although I didn't buy it from Amazon but from a shop in Belgium where I live. Before buying, I tried to find reviews online but without much success.

I can't really comment in detail on the technical specifications of this monitor such as colour quality, timing etc, but from my perspective as a fairly normal user, I love it. There are no dead pixels on mine, and the image quality is great when you run it in the native resolution. Modern games should allow you to use the native resolution if your graphics card is set up correctly and I really like the widescreen view for them. I don't see any blurring although I haven't tried it with a fast-paced game like Quake.

The look of the monitor is very clean and attractive, with a thin frame and unobtrusive buttons. Adjustment of the screen on the base is limited but it's fine for me sitting on my desk. The base is not terribly solid (although perfectly stable), and moving the desk can cause the screen to shake a bit. There's a slightly irritating on-screen message whenever the image changes resolution, but these are very minor complaints. Note that you need a fairly powerful graphics card due to the high resolution.

It doesn't have a digital connection, which surprised me, just a classic VGA connection. A professional review would probably reveal technical issues of colour reproduction or something like that, but I'm not a graphic artist or anything requiring perfect colour fidelity, and in everyday use I haven't had any problems.

In summary: it's cheap, image quality seems fine, the technical stats are good (8ms) and I'm extremely happy with it after 3 months of use.

Top Notch TFT Monitor For Xbox 360 Users

This Monitor is fantastic. I'm using it for my Xbox 360 in it's highest resolution 1680x1050 at 60Hz. The 8Ms response time is awsome as it handles even the most fast paced of games like F.E.A.R and Burnout Revenge superbly, and it's auto Contrast is fantasic at making sure the picture is never to dark nor bright. The only minor faults in my opinion is the lack of DVI input,there's no internal speakers and another VGA port would of been useful. Although for the price it's well worth the purchase. After 3 months use (and I use it everday) and no problems it goes to show that Acer is a brand that you can trust. Awesome!

Bought this and another acer monitor around the same time and was a bit let down by this. Quality is good but for the price see Acer P203W 20" CrystalBrite Widescreen Monitor - Black for a better deal and fantastic monitor.
