When I saw the price and specification for this monitor, I had to have one. I had been thinking of getting a 17 inch TFT but the price difference between that and this 19 inch was small. The quality is superb. It is supersharp at 1280 x 1024 and very bright. It was worth going to 19" as I can now get two A4 documents side-by-side on the screen.
I am not using it for games so I can't comment on smearing, but in normal use there is none. Whizzing the mouse icon round the multiple images look just like on a CRT. Apart from setting the screen resolution there was no setting up. I am not using the speakers either, but I guess few people will.
I like the fact that there is no separate power supply. The mains lead plugs into the monitor. And last but not least, no dud pixels. So, well done Acer for the screen.
