So this is book three in the series and in my opinion, it should be read as part of the series, after all it is in there for a reason.

If you can you should read books one and two, believe me it is no hardship they are great stories but by reading them I think that you will get much needed back history, the past characters and the story dynamics and those aspects will help you to get the most out of this book and you will definitely want to get the most out of this book, especially the relationship and connection between Aidan and Deidre, much of which is present in book two.

At the start of the story, Aidan is using ever means possible to try to forget Deidre, and no matter what, alcohol, women, it doesn’t matter she is in his blood, nothing works and after a year you would have thought he would have been able to move on…nup, not happening and by the time he actually sees her and discovers her secret, I was sure that he would have drunken himself into oblivion.

I honestly thought that being a parent, never mind being a good parent was never on the cards for him, but I would kick my own butt if I could because he totally blew me away.

Not only was he thrilled at his sudden parenthood but he wasn’t afraid to show just what it meant to him…as his tears fell so did mine.

Aidan the personification of what it meant to be a proud father, he laid is emotions out for all to see and I was swept away by this sexy man and the passion he had not only for his child but the woman that he loved, he may have considered that he didn’t do romance but with Deidre, he knew no limits, the way he was and the words he spoke were able to convey a depth of meaning that made my heart swoon and brought tears to my eyes.

Deidre, well what a hellcat!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much you need to read not only this book but this series!! I honestly didn’t think this series could get any better. I mean, after book 2…(Roan, oh Roan), you think no way can it get better but BAM, Kathy kicks is up a notch! And now I can’t wait for Dilan’s story. And let me tell you, I am counting down the days because Dilan pissed me off in this book. I wanted to junk punch him. I threw my Kindle down last night shouting very bad words!
But whatever, let’s get back to Aidan. Aidan and Deidre had it rough at the end of the last book. This book picks up right from the end of book 2. Deidre is back and with a big secret for Aidan. When she goes to see him for the first time after being gone for over a year, she walks in on some major family drama. I hated Aidan’s family. I wanted to hug him and protect him. Thank goodness he got away from them. They say, true family isn’t always blood family. You have a way of finding your true family and that’s just what Aidan did with Roan and Cain. They are family. Aidan would love nothing more than to have Deidre part of that family but is she strong enough to handle Aidan’s crazy life?

I loved the banter between these two characters. They loved to rile each other up. Their chemistry was off the charts hot! That kitchen scene….whoa steamy! I will never look at a box of Sweet-Tarts the same again. And there were funny moments as well. The storyline was great! With the way the last book ended, I wasn’t sure where Kathy was going with this book but she nailed it. The drama, the love, the intensity, and the OMG moments were awesome! Well done once again!

I picked up this book not realising it was the 3rd book in a series (standalone within a series, you dont have to read the first 2 but you should. they are so good) After going back and binge reading the first two books I have to say I was hooked. I knew this was going to be a great read but I didn't expect it to be as emotional as it turned out to be. Deirdre and Aiden had a rocky relationship. The last conversation they had was full of insults to one another. After experiencing something horrific together, Deidre disappears. Leaving Aiden to live with the guilt he carries for not being able to help her. a year later she's back with a surprise for him.

I loved everything about this. The heat between these two is off the charts, but with that are some incredibly sweet moments. Deirdre is such a strong character. despite going through some horrible stuff she is still warm, funny and completely kicks butt when needed.

All round great story that kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page. I suggest reading this when you have a few hours to spare because you wont want to put it down. I'm already excited for the final book in this series.

bk 3 in the syndicate series.

I have loved the previous 2 books and this one is no exception.
this one starts close to where book 2 leaves off. they are standalones I believe but reading them in order will just help with the understanding of the latest book.
Deidre was one of Royals (bk2) unfortunate victims and after being rescued  ended up having a nervous breakdown. now a year later she has found the strength to go back home and face her friends, except she had a small secret .......

with the threat of Royal no longer being  issue it made me wonder how this story would go, I was not disappointed!! instead of a psychotic brother, you now have a psychotic step brother and an innocent sister who has just been discovered. it's this sister who is need of Aidan and Deidres help. And when you piss off the mob you need to deal with the concequences, even to the point people come out of retirement to help you on your way.

The Absolution of Aidan is a fantastic read and with The Deliverance of Dylan due in spring 2016 I am so looking forward to find out more about what's going on in their lives.
