"'The strong point of the books in this series is the distinctive voices of the writers, their attitudes and how these are reflected in their plays. Smart chronologies and brief annotated bibliographies give the books a student - friendly feel, and all four are readable and jargon free.' Aleks Sierz, Times Higher Education Supplement"

Top Customer Reviews
Firstly I wanted to so if I was completely missing the point and secondly because I knew the author at school and was curious to see what his writing style was like. Not only is he taller than me, has more hair and is less fat he can also add damn good author to his credentials.
I found this book enjoyable and insightful, although a little heavy going in places. However Mark's enthusiasm for Harold Pinter shines through and has created a very interesting book. Not enough to make me want to go out and re-read The Dumb Waiter or The Caretaker but it has made me more tolerant of the Pinteresque style.
