Format: Hardcover
While I was new to this topic, and came to it chiefly from a knowledge of humanitarian intervention, I found the text digestible, interesting and thoroughly substantiated. For those with an interest in slavery, empire and humanitarian intervention, this is a must read.

Format: Hardcover
This is an excellent work. It has been carefully researched and is well reasoned, while retaining an approachable writing style. While some have written on the comparative politics of Liberia and Sierra Leone, few have done this while writing so convincingly, and with especial historical focus, on the roles of slavery, imperialism and humanitarian intervention. Thoroughly recommended for those with an interest in these areas.
