ok this is tristens story, again as is with this series its intense, very raw emotions. the whole series has had me in tears as each person fights to get their happy ever after, each has their own in securities and pain that helps to cloud their judgement. please if you read any series this year give this shattered hearts one a try you wont regret it. read in order and to the end I have one more to go and cant wait

How much heartbreak can one take, I've just finished Abandon and immediately before that I had read Bring Me Home so I'm defiantly suffering from sadness overload..!!
It's makes for a difficult read in parts and yes I'm talking about Tristian, and just like the previous books in this series I cried so much.
Tristian's character and personality really shone through it was so nice to really get to know him but not so nice knowing what he had to suffer at the hands of his so called Mother.
The story grabs you from the very first chapter you can't help but get totally hooked on Tristian and Senia, despite their rocky start they were certainly meant for one another but we had to go through so much emotional turmoil, but they got there in the end.
There were a lot of endearing and standout moments in this story, Tristian's Tattoo 123 and the meaning behind it, I couldn't help but wonder what an earth it meant and everything with Grandma Flo and Molly it was all so compelling and as I said in my last review for Bring Me Home Cassia Leo just seems to have a way with words when it comes to conveying every emotion possible.
I'm just about to start reading Chasing Abby and something tells he it's going to be a tough read..!!
Thank you Cassia Leo..

Abandon is a spin-off from Cassia Leo's Shattered Heart Series, but if like me you haven't read Claire and Chris's story then fear not Abandon works well as a standalone novel. It focuses on their best friends Tristan and Senia.

Tristan is something of a lone ranger; he lives alone, doesn't commit and fulfils the sexy musician bill very well! Bassist Tristan comes from one hell of a messed up family and is plagued by a horrific childhood. He has a lot of issues (parts of the story are dark so be warned), but he's also sexy and mysterious.

Tristan and Senia have known of each other for a few years (through Chris and Claire) and although they have had several near misses they haven't really gotten together until now. I enjoyed seeing all the different sides to Tristan; yes, he's a player but he's also super sweet with his sister and gran. I wasn't expecting his family situation to go where it did and I didn't see the Mum plot coming.

I didn't feel I got to know Senia as well as Tristan but their banter was heaps of fun. It's often difficult to make the female MC likeable but I felt Cassia did a good job with Senia. I would have liked to experience their relationship grow more because they're effectively thrown in at the deep end.

I'm adding Tristan to my book boyfriend list - it's the long hair! Kidding, he's really well written! I'm off to read the rest of the Shattered Hearts series to see what I missed out on!

4 Stars in my Sky!

I loved Tristan, thought he was a moody wotsit in Chris and Claires books! But he so redeemed himself!

Also loved Senia, she was a sassy, mouthy (in a good way) girl, she was the best ever friend that Claire could have, both would do anything for each other!

How sweet is Tristan, what a trooper, he was going through so much, with his Grandma and little sister, not to mention his dreadful mom! It was interesting to read the past along with the current, we got to understand him in a completely different light!

I loved how the smexy stuff between Tristan and Senia was so hot, they really were great with each other. He had a lot to deal with and I would not have thought the Tristan we met in the rest of the series.

How sad were the hospital scenes, although he didn't really think it, he had a good life growing up with his grandma and his conversations with her were so sweet!

Molly Moon was a lovely girl, saw through Tristan, even when he was keeping things hidden!

It was nice to catch up with Chris and Claire even though it was very brief,

Once again, Cassia Leo has taken us on a beautiful journey where you can't help but fall in love and feel for the characters that she gives to you. Abandon is one of those experiences that has you clutching your chest one moment and cursing out the characters the next. It made me sneak into my daughter's bedroom and kiss her goodnight again through parts. Most of all though, it gives you an overwhelming sense of compassion.

Nobody should go through the things that Tristan went through, yet somehow it just made him stronger. It gave him a sense of loyalty to his true family. I love that. I was raised by my sister from the time I was twelve because my parents essentially abandoned me so I felt an immediate connection and bond with this character. Of course, that also leaves me rooting for him in all situations.

That epilogue was so incredibly perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The book is amazing and definitely should be read, but especially that last paragraph. That last paragraph is a lesson that every human being should learn.
