I have never seen the Cathy Gale ones, so these made interesting viewing. Darker and less classy than the later Emma Peel shows, with that very identifiable late 50s/early 60s style, it's nevertheless a good watch. Pity about the music (not the famous theme tune) and intermission breaks (no adverts), but these are minor. I do, however, find myself wondering where Steed's famous car is! What a groundbreaker Mrs Gale must have been - she deals with the men in a most satisfying manner, and looks as good in leather as Emma. Very much Ipcress file kind of series, most enjoyable.
