I take it out when I come home from work and put my normal bulb in as too much ligjt can stimulate your brain at night. Easy to use and much cheaper than a sad lamp

So far so good. I've only used them for 1 week. These are really good quality LED bulbs. Unfortunately I couldn't use them for my bedroom. They are too bright and if you look directly at the bulb it will dazzle you, so not suitable for bedroom/ living room. I only use it in corridor and my bathroom. Will update in future.

I am very happy with this light bulb. I got it for my kids' room as the autumn/winter gets pretty dark here in Scotland and it does fabulous job. I was worried that just a single bulb wouldn't produce enough light but it shines more than anything else we have in the house. The colour of the light feels natural (so much that I tend to forget the light on when we are leaving in the mornings, it doesn't have that yellowish tint the 'normal' light has). I also noticed the kids spend more time in their room now, but it's hard to say whether it's because of the light or for some other reason.

At last something to replace the old 100W bulbs that are instant brightness with an inconspicuous style. I'd say these are a very conservative 100W incandescent equivalent as standing where I can compare both this and a 150W old school bulb, this is every bit as bright, possibly helped by the "cool white". Now if they only cost the same rather than 20 times the price of an old 100W bulb.

Shorter than expected life

One of these bulbs just died, lasting almost exactly 3 years. This is significantly less than the rated 35,000 hours, as if it managed that I could have kept the bulb on 24 hours a day for 4 years. Otherwise it had a good cool white, and I don't remember noticing any noise from the bulb.

The bright whiteness of these bulbs may not be everyones cup of tea but I think they're perfect for lighting up rooms in winter when the sun sets so early because I do get drowsy very easily when it's dark with only warm bulbs lighting up the room. They're slightly pricy but efficient and high quality and should outlast any other kind of bulb. I have also tried the warmer coloured ones and they're much similar to the more orange light emitted by standard bulbs.
