The VP28UQG gives you four times the pixels of similar-sized Full HD 1080p displays so you get more detailed images when playing games or watching movies, as well as more on-screen desktop space for your various work windows. This astonishing visual performance lets you react instinctively to what you see on-screen, so you can take corners like a pro race car driver, or take an enemy out with a head-shot as he peeks around cover. In addition, Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync eliminates screen tearing and choppy frame rates for even more seamlessly smooth gameplay.
Whether you're playing games or streaming videos, Asus VP28UQG gives you smooth 4K UHD content playback, thanks to a 60Hz refresh rate and native 4K UHD support via DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI(v 2.0).
Asus-exclusive GamePlus technology
Asus VP28UQG features the Asus-exclusive GamePlus to give you in-game enhancements that help you get more out of your game. These tools allow gamers to practice and improve on their gaming skills.
The on-screen timer keeps tabs on recurring drops, respawns, and other time-based events. And you can move it anywhere on the screen with the navigation joystick to make sure it doesn't interfere with the in-game HUD.
Get ready for marathon gaming sessions
Ultra-Low Blue Light technology
Asus Ultra-Low Blue Light technology reduces the amount of harmful blue light emitted by Asus VP28UQG. You can access and select four different filter settings on-screen easily through the OSD menu to find the best one that suits the task at hand.
The VP28UQG gaming monitor has undergone stringent performance tests and is certified by TÜV Rheinland laboratories, a global provider of technical, safety, and certification services, to be flicker-free and to emit low blue light levels.
Flicker-Free technology reduces flicker to give you a comfortable gaming experience. This minimises instances of eyestrain and other potentially damaging eye ailments when you're embroiled in long, drawn-out gaming sessions.

The stand looks robust but I attached it to my computer arm for full flexibility on position. Really impressed. I will also use it for my PC and switching between the 2 is easily done. It comes with Euro and UK plug (was hidden at the bottom). 2 x hdmi 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. Everything I was looking for.
You NEED to spend some time calibrating it to suit your needs, but once you figure out the settings, this screen is gorgeous. Fantastic for gaming - the vivid pixel option greatly enhances the detail on your screen. However, do not crank it up too high, it is perfect at 25 - 50 without overdoing it.
I suggest keeping this feature off for when using the screen as an extension to your pc/laptop to minimize pixellation.
The next section is specific to owners of the PS4 slim (or any other console that does not have a toslink connector) - this monitor was a bit of a handful as it does not have a 3.5mm jack to directly connect to speakers or headphones. You will need at the very least an HDMI splitter to split out the sound through a tosslink connector if you have a supported headset or speakers. In my case I had neither, so I further had to invest in a DAC.
Two things to be aware of though. (1) the monitor is controlled by hard to see small buttons under the front panel. I have worked-around this by installing a program by Nirsoft that transfers the control to the computer keyboard. (2) the on-board speakers are very weak in tone, dynamic range and column. If you want sound use external speakers.Otherwise, a great buy.
I use it for gaming on PS4, Xbox One X and occasionally Switch (I mainly use it in handheld), as well as a second 4k screen for my laptop when working.
The 2 HDMI ports make it so much easier for me to just pick up and play (my old tv only had 1 HDMI slot), and games look great on it. Plus I can use the display port to plug in my laptop, which is a general bonus for getting a monitor over a TV (I previously also had to use HDMI and it was a real pain and messed up my display settings every time). The number of inputs/ports mean I don't have to get around the back of it every time I want to swap between devices.
ALSO another good thing is it automatically turns itself on, and to the correct input when you turn on a device connected to it. That's as long as nothing else is switched on - it will keep the first one on as default, which is great if you accidentally switch something on. Just a handy little feature.
It looks great, and 4K looks great on it. Yes there are fancier 4K screens out there, but if you have a smaller budget (or even if you don't), or want a small screen, this is great for the price and I honestly don't need anything else.
I purchased without reading the reviews and after reading the reviews I was really nervous but I’m really happy with it.
Other reviews have said;
You cannot adjust the volume - this is not true, you have to go into the settings using the buttons underneath but it’s easy enough.
No GB plug - this is not true, it came with both an EU plug and a GB plug.
The picture quality is excellent, I cannot fault it at all when using it for the Xbox One, there is no lag or blur.
Sound quality isn’t great but it’s better than nothing and does have a headphone port.
Overall I would say that if you are looking for a cheapish HDMI monitor to play your console on then you need look no further.
Also had to call up customer services as they did not include the correct power cable for my region - the person suggested first that I was wrong and that there should be the correct cable in there, and secondly that I should buy a new one for myself, which came across as rude.
The product was accepted for exchange after filling in an online form. It took a whole month for a replacement to come, and when it did, the replacement product was also faulty, with a multicoloured light bleed in the bottom left hand corner.
It turned out that the replacement product also had the issue with the screen going back for ~5 seconds. Seeing as this was probably very unlikely to happen to two separate products, I did some research online - apparently this is a common issue with monitors with a downward-facing power socket. The cable doesn't stay in properly! What an utterly basic design problem.
I am fuming at the poor quality of the product, the design, and the customer service. The worst purchasing experience I have ever had. Would certainly not recommend.
The display's internal User Interface is pretty horrible, and the control buttons are mounted under the lower bezel so it is very difficult to access and adjust, doubly so when doing so on the fly.
The internal speakers are pretty poor. I had hoped to be able to replace my small external speakers but the display's own speakers are tinny.
However once it is set up it works well so overall I'd say it's ok but it's not that great in terms of value for money.
