This started off OK, as I wasn't expecting too much of this novel, given the blurb, and therefore wasn't really too disappointed in it - but that was only at the start. KR can be a bit hit-and-miss, and this wasn't good, but its 'non-goodness' was what drew me into it. She was too obvious in order to make Brianne a 'non-slut' for sleeping with a man other than her fiance, and enjoying it,by making her out to be a virgin....and this is where the book started to deteriorate. At the end of chapter 1.

Like the blurb says, Brianne is engaged to Chad, a colleague in her father's company, where she is the director of PR. She's been pressuring Chad about not waiting til their wedding night, and when 'he' slips into bed with her and apparently shows her what she's been missing, a total of 3 times, no less, she's convinced that she must love the guy and all her doubts vanish. Until, she turns and finds a stranger in her bed.

Of course, this being a romance, their paths have to cross again, and he turns out to be the guy she and her father are meeting with, and initially they pretend not to know each other, but eventually, when her parents see how their daughter is changing to try to mould herself into the 'fuddy-duddy' that her fiance, Chad, would like her to be, they conspire with Jake to get her away from him.

*****************Spoilers follow***********************

OK, so it was pretty trite and predictable, which I expected, but I didn't expect that Brianne, apparently so successful in her job, would allow herself to be put-down and cowed by her fiance. It seemed as if she didn't have any backbone.

I was not sure how I would like this book as the story line seemed very far fetched. However I did enjoy reading it and although the outcome was very predictable the read was smooth and fluent. Jake was typical hero matter and you wanted him to be successful. A pleasant enough read.

I thought this book was an 8/10' I won't diss it like others had as it is a romance and once u read a load they do get a bit run of the mill but in truth I thoroughly enjoyed it.
